Hello,
We are Belai (18) and Hannah (24) and we set up a new shared apartment in Köln Kalk. A third friend of ours is going to move in next march, which is why we want to take the opportunity to welcome an international person doing erasmus for a semester.
The room is 8qm and unfurnished. The walls are going to be painted by the beginning of october, as we take over the whole apartment from the family that lives there now. The apartment has 3 seperate bedrooms, a living room, a balcony and a shared garden. Our taste is very different to the interior choices that you can see in the pictures, it will look a lot more modern and boho, when we have moved in.
You can get to the Subway in 10 minutes and a Train Station is 15 minutes away. It will take you another 15 minutes on the Subway until you arrive at the university. There is a supermarket 5 minutes away and another turkish supermarket just across the street.
Kalk is a very colorful part of the city, where many different nationalities as well as students can be found. The area is cheaper to live in while you can still get into the city fast, as lines 1 and 9 stop at Kalk Post.
Belai starts her bachelor in ethnology and works part time as a waitress. Hannah has studied social work and starts a new bachelor in arts and social studies now. She is now looking for a part time job in social work. We both like to play the guitar, have good talks on the balcony or just watch some movies together. At the weekend we like to explore the nightlife in cologne or spend some time off in nature with our scout groups.
We are an LGBTQIA+ friendly, anti-racist, anti-fascist, sustainable household. Open communication and accepting eachothers boundaries matters a lot for the environment that we want to have in our home.
