I am offering my WG room to be taken over on the 1st of July (or immediately) until the end of August/beginning of September. The house has a great layout with everything you need: a fully stocked kitchen, bathroom with a bathtub, communal closet in the hall for jackets, a private basement area, and high-speed internet. There is a washing machine room in the basement where we have our own washer just for the flat. Your room is about 15sqm and has a big window. There are no neighbors across so you have a lot of privacy which I always loved. The room has a bed frame and a clothes hanger but other than that the room is unfurnished. The room is very cool in the summer. All around it is a great room that you will surely feel cozy in!
The flat is located in the vibrant area of Köln Kalk, close to Trimbornstraße. From there you can take the S-Bahn into Köln Zentrum which only takes about 6 minutes. There are cafes, kiosks, bars, restaurants, Netto, and Lidl all within a few minutes walk from the house and there is a beautiful, luscious park at the end of the street where you can walk, picnic, play table tennis and enjoy a bit of nature. There is also a very nice walking path to the Rhine, takes a bit of time but it's really lovely. Nearby (8min walk) is also Kalk Post where you have everything you could ever need at your fingertips (Mall, U-bahn, Rewe, DM, secondhand stores, restaurants galore, etc., etc.). Despite being on the other side of the Rhine, in this area, you feel really central in Cologne because of the connecting trains.
Your flatmate will be the lively Hend (34). She just finished her studies in art at KHM and is now entering the workforce. The WG is English or Arabic speaking so it's important that you are fluent in either of those languages so that you can both communicate comfortably. As a WG Hend and I would do lots of things together but it's also okay if you need your space and alone time. We like to keep the house clean and this will continue when you are here with a regular cleaning schedule being determined by you and Hend.
The room is unfurnished!!
There is a 300€ Kaution which you will receive back when you leave if everything is fine.
The room is already empty so if you want to move in before the 1st of July it's also possible!
