Das zu vergebene Zimmer ist ca. 14qm groß inklusive einen kleinen (ca. 2qm) Abstellraum, in dem die Gastherme lebt, aber auch Platz für Stauraum oder deine Klamotten wäre. Also quasi ein begehbarer Kleiderschrank. Die Therme macht tagsüber Geräusche, nachts ist sie still. Das Zimmer ist ruhig zum Hinterhof gelegen. Die hohen Decken bieten die Möglichkeit zum Einbau einer Hochebene. Man kann sich also auch noch gut austoben. Außerdem ist es richtig schön hell.
Daneben gibt es noch eine große Wohnküche mit allen Dingen, die man definitiv nicht braucht (zB. Grill am Ceranfeld), ein Bad mit Dusche und Badewanne und einen großen Kellerraum, zum Sachen verstauen. Im Hinterhof können Fahrräder abgestellt werden. An der Küche haben wir auch noch ein Balkon wo vormittags die Sonne schön ballert.
The free room is 14 m2 and includes a small box room (ca. 2 m2). It's basically a mini walk-in closet which also houses the gas boiler. The gas boiler does make some noise but only at daytime and not loud. The room is to the back of the house and therefore the quietest of the flat. The 3,6 m high ceilings offer plenty of space to build a plateau/high bed. In any case space to make changes. A part from that the room is nice and bright.
Next to the room is the kitchen including everything that you absolutely don't need (for example a barbecue built into the stove). The bathroom comes with shover and bathtub and we have a huge room in the basement for storage. At the back of the house is space for bikes.
And last but not least, we have a balcony accessible from the kitchen where you can enjoy the sun all morning.
Wir wohnen relativ zentral in Mülheim in der Nähe des Kulturbunkers. Hier gibt es alles, was Mensch zum täglichen Leben braucht: Bäckereien, Imbissbuden auf der Keupstraße, Kioske und Supermärkte sind nicht weit. Auch der Rhein ist in wenigen Gehminuten zu erreichen und die Bahnanbindung ist klasse.
We live quite central in Mülheim and the Kulturbunker is basically our neighbour. Here you will find anything anyone could possibly need for everyday life: bakeries, takeaway at Keupstraße, kiosks and supermarkets are all very close by. And you reich the Rhein as well as public transport within a few minutes.
Hier wohnen 2 Frauen und ein genderfluider Mensch, wir sind Ende 20 und studieren noch oder lohnarbeiten irgendwie oder machen freelance Theater. Wir sind alle viel eingebunden, teilweise in aktivistischen Kontexten unterwegs, haben unterschiedliche Interessen und sind unterschiedlich viel zu Hause. Trotzdem haben wir Lust, es uns gemeinsam hübsch und gemütlich zu machen und Alltagsfrust und -Freude zu teilen, zusammen zu kochen, zu essen, am Rhein abzuhängen, über das Patriarchat zu schimpfen und so weiter.
Wir haben eine gemeinsame Essenskasse und teilen uns die Einkäufe. Wir freuen uns wenn du drauf auch Lust hast. Putzplan gibt's auch und wir treffen uns alle paar Wochen zum Quatschen und Einchecken.
Uns ist das Interesse an Gemeinschaftlichkeit wichtig, genauso wie eine queerfeministische und antirassistische Haltung.
Already living here are 2 women and a genderfluid person. We are all in our late 20's either at the end of our studies or somehow working or doing freelance theatre. We are all fairly busy people, sometimes doing activist work, have different interests and schedules and it varies a lot how much we are all at home. Never the less we try to create a cosy home where we can share frustration and delights of everyday life, cooking together, eating, hanging out at the Rhein, rant about the patriarchy or what ever.
We collect money for food each month and share the grocery shopping. It would be cool if you are up for joining in on that. We also have a cleaning schedule and every few weeks we sit together to check in with each other and talk about the flat share life.
For us this communal/collective feeling is really important as well as a queer feminist and antiracist attitude.
