As my flatmate is going to move out I search for somebody to take over his room from the 1st of April. The room is small but there are lots of added benefits in the flat to make up for the size. You would have access to your own balcony which is very sunny and bright in the summer time and we also have a very big living room which is also very nice and spacious.
There is also the possibility to take some of his furniture including some nice custom built shelves which save space and also the mattress.
In the flat we have everything we need including a dishwasher and washing machine. We have a very beautiful wooden kitchen which I think looks very cool! The bathroom is renovated and looks very nice as well.
We live 2 minutes away from the Karl-Heine Straße which is the main street of Plagwitz and there you will find many nice bars, cafes, restaurants and Späti's.
We also live 3 minutes from the Karl-Heine Kanal where it is very beautiful to go for walks. We also live close to the Clara Zetkin Park.
We live very close to the Elster Passage which is a shopping passage and there you will find everything you need for daily living. There is an Edeka but there is also a Rewe and an Aldi within walking distance. In the Elster Passage there is also a post-office, tobacconist and chemist as well as an ATM for drawing money. The Zschochersche Straße is 5 minutes away and in this street there are also many, many restaurants and imbiss's where you can get many different types of delicious food.
The bus 74 and tram 3 are 3 minutes walk away and you can also take the tram 14 from Karl Heine Straße so we are serviced very well by good public transport links.
I am originally from South Africa and moved to Leipzig a few years ago. In South Africa I studied English, Philosophy and Visual Communication at the University of Pretoria and now I am completing my MA in Global British Studies at the Uni Leipzig. As well as these subjects I am also very interested in Cultural Studies, Art History and Media Studies, Sociology and Political Science.
Because I studied literature and philosophy these are my favourite topics to talk about and I love to read books from all over the world. But I am really an open person so I can have a conversation about anything :D
I enjoy talking and also cooking but if you are like me and need a lot of time alone and prefer to chill that is also totally fine.
