Your new room is around 20 square meters, faces east and has two large windows through which the sun shines from morning to afternoon. It has a classy square cut and impresses with an almost infinitely high ceiling. Here you have enough space to spread out, listen to music, dance or make yourself comfortable with a cup of tea.
Your room is part of a shared flat for 2 people and is located on the second floor of a renovated old building with a beautiful staircase. In the apartment you can look forward to a fully equipped and very comfortably furnished kitchen. In addition, there is my room, whose door is always open to you, a spacious hallway and a cozy bathroom (unfortunately without daylight, but hey you can´t have everything ;)). If you don't feel like carrying your bike up to the second floor, you can use the covered bike rack in the backyard. In addition, we have a fire bowl, with which we have already organized the one or other cozy campfire in the backyard and will gladly do so with you in the future.
Susann, the current occupant of your room, is moving to Copenhagen in mid-August to do her Master's degree there. Therefore, your room will most likely be available from August 15 on. However, we can still discuss the exact move-in date at our convenience.
The same applies to the furniture situation, as it is not yet clear which furniture Susann will take with her to Copenhagen and which will stay here. If you have your own furniture, you can bring it all with you. If not, you might be able to take over some of the furniture, I'm sure we can all find a solution together.
In the 330€ all costs (electricity, internet, GEZ, etc.) are already included.
Our WG is centrally located near the Südplatz. Whether you prefer the city or nature, you will be happy here in any case. After just a minute walk you will find yourself on the Karli, where many restaurants and cafes and even more culture awaits you. On the other hand, you can also walk to Clara Park in 10 minutes and bike to Cossi (beautiful lake for swimming) in twenty minutes in the summer.
Tram 10 and 11 leave from Südplatz and take you to the city center in 5 minutes and to the main train station in 10 minutes. You can also get to the main university, the HGB (for art students) or the HTWK (for engineering students) in no more than 15 minutes, depending on which means of transport you choose.
Right around the corner is an unpacked store where you can buy plastic-free food. The rest of the supermarkets like Konsum, Aldi, Netto etc. are also within walking distance.
Our WG is more than just pure purpose. We take care of and support each other in the small and big tasks of daily life. As already mentioned, Susann is moving out in August, which is why you will have to be happy with me from now on.
I am 24 years old, in the last stages of my teacher training study for the subjects sports, german and politics and I am very often out in the nature. In my previous life I was a carpenter, but to finance my studies I'm currently working at Tapir (cool climbing and outdoor gear store). I also work with people who have the label intellectual disability and go climbing with them once a week. Regardless, I also climb and boulder privately often and with pleasure. Preferably at Kosmos (the best boulder gym in Leipzig), a lot in surrounding stone quarries, but most of all in the Saxon Switzerland, where I'm from by birth.
I would classify myself rather in the category cleanliness and order-loving person. Since in this regard, however, ideas and perceptions often diverge, I find it especially important to be able to communicate openly and directly with each other in this regard.
I like to cook with loud music and people around me. (I also once worked longer as a cook in a large kitchen, as one of my countless dubious side jobs :D) I'm a vegetarian, but I have absolutely no problem if you like to eat meat and I'm looking forward to inspiring conversations at the kitchen table until late at night with you.
What else? Lately I find pottery quite cool, like to drink rhubarb juice and read books with pleasure and a lot. I am happy when room doors are open, but at the same time I understand very well when you need some peace and quiet to retire to your room.
But now about you. If possible, you should be 1.80 tall, have rich parents and be incredibly happy to carry down the garbage. No, just joking. Whether you are tall or short and what your parents earn is completely irrelevant to me. Just write me a nice message with some information about you. What are your interests? What funny peculiarities do you have? What kind of life situation are you in right now? You don't have to make yourself emotionally naked here and I can't do much with a resume. Write me what you want and only as much as you want, the main thing is that I want to get to know you personally.
At the same time you can write me when you would like to move in and when you will have time to visit the apartment in the next days and weeks. Getting to know each other is best done in person over a limo. If you are not in Leipzig, you can also visit the apartment online while we have a skype call.
This WG has always been an LGBTQIA+ friendly WG, which should not change when you move in. So if you feel tendencies to toxic masculinity, racism, sexism, homophobia or other kinds of discrimination in you, feel free to save your time to write me.
Otherwise, I'm looking forward to meeting you soon and writing a new chapter in the Kochstraße with you.
Marten
PS: Since I will probably get my state exam in June 2023, I will definitely live here until then. If you only want to live here for the winter semester, that's absolutely no problem. It's the same the other way around. Our property management is super nice and when I move out next year, you can certainly take over the apartment here, provided you want to.
