Hey you we are looking for you!
Since our roommate is moving out to live in another district, we are currently looking for a new flatmate, who wants to join us in our residence in the heart of Leipzig.
The room is very bright, heads the backyard where you wake up very peacefully to the sound of birds and got as the whole flat 4 meter ceilings with a Hochbett to storage everything you don't need often or of course to interior your bedroom up there.
Very central, by bike 5 minutes to the main train station 15 to the east and 20 to the west of leipzig. 10 minutes footwalk to the Friedenspark and 5 to the next supermarket. Also the tram station is only 5 minutes from our house.
At the moment some changes take place in our Wg which brings, however, much room for new forms of the WG and the living together itself. In our flat are currently living:
Nicolas is from Colombia but lives in Germany since 2013. Currently, he is working on his PhD in Sociology and at the university in Weimar, where he also commutes several days a week. He is a very curious bike and photography lover and enjoys reading and playing chess. Since last year, he also started bouldering and climbing. He is a fan of Justin Bieber when nobody is watching but you'll catch him singing one of his songs from time to time. Mostly, he'll be playing nice tunes on the guitar or listening to salsa while he's cleaning, though. With him you can speak in Spanish, German, Portuguese, and English.
Alessandro is from Italy, at the end of a neuroscience PhD with a side of hybrid brain/art installations. He has endless interests including foraging, terrariums, kayaking, ping pong, beer making, cocktail mixing, anything related to the Mediterranean, politics, literature, board gaming, DnD, and trash TV. Usually two or three at a time, on rotation. Love cooking, you’ll always find him in the kitchen happy to share a dish of whatever experiment, at your risk. he is away most of the day, office or park, in the flat he alternates between sociality and time for himself, but always available for a chat and/or a drink.
Since our second roommate is also moving out in July, when you move in, one more person will live here until Miriam completes the WG in August.
Miriam is also from Italy and is currently doing her PhD in Jena. She is a cheerful, funny and entertaining person with whom you can always laugh but also talk about your problems. She is a little bundle of energy and is on the road a lot, may it be rollerblading, bouldering, jam sessions (Miriam loves music too), bars and clubs, open airs or flea markets, ... with her, it will definitely not be boring! Although she is on the road a lot, she also likes to take time for the WG and is there for you in times of need. Miriam speaks Italian and English and started to learn German.
We are all on the road a lot and meet rather spontaneously in the kitchen to cook, have a drink or chat. Every now and then we all cook together or do other things together or in a group of two like playing games, bouldering, and going out to parties but we also often have quiet evenings where everyone does their thing and it's perfectly okay to take your time out.
There is a cleaning schedule and we share basic expenses for common household items, which may of course be improved and changed with the new constellation.
So far, we've definitely had a friendly, amicable WG life, and we want to keep it that way, we try to communicate everything when someone feels uncomfortable with something.
Since Nicolas is in Brazil until the end of june he will probably take part via zoom in the wg castings. We still have to find a date to meet you but we will let you know asap. We also hope you understand that we cant answer all the messages we receive and that we will only answer those where we see a possible match.
