Angehender Doktorand sucht nettes WG-Zimmer / New PhD student looking for friendly WG room :)

Hi!
I am Lorenzo, 23 and originally from Milan, Italy :) The last two years I have lived in the Netherlands to conclude my Master Studies in Cognitive Neuroscience and now I am starting a new chapter in Leipzig and will pursue my PhD here for the next 3-4 years. For my first year I am ideally looking for a room in a WG to arrive in Leipzig and get to know the city. I want to find a room from the 1st of September/ as soon as possible!

I don't speak German yet but I am eager to learn and I am not completely new to the language as my girlfriend speaks fluently.

I have 2,5 years of experience of living in shared apartments. In a WG, I am looking for a friendly and open atmosphere, where everyone can find some relaxation from their work/study but nonetheless share a bit of life with each other. I like to cook with my roommates (I can make great pasta italian style or sushi!) have a beer or some drinks together. I also like to play football, chess or other boardgames. I also like to spend time outside in my free time, go to the park and read or go on nice walks. Nonetheless, I am expecting a busy first year of my PhD and even though I hope I can be at the office a lot, I might have to study a bit from home too. Anyways I am also happy to be present in the house, integrate into the WG and I am excited to learn German. I ensure a clean environment and try to transmit as much positivity as I can.
I also switched to a vegan diet one year ago, however if my friends cook for me i also eat vegetarian from time to time.
I also like watching movies and hope to bring my beamer for some movie nights. When Covid allows, I also enjoy a good night out with friends. I will bring 3 of my houseplants. I am easy to talk to and generally have an open ear for everyone.

I am a quiet and friendly guy who is passionate about the brain. I am fascinated by how the brain learns from its experience. In Leipzig I will study that in the context of language and communication. My Neuron "Spiky" is my companion during my studies and in this journey, you can see him in the last picture.

I am already in Leipzig and can come to a viewing whenever possible :)
