The Flat is located in Lisbon's downtown (Baixa in Portuguese).
It is right in the center, where you can find all kind of public transports to go anywhere in Lisbon, subway, tram, bus, boat or even tuk-tuk....
You can also walk to Alfama (5 minutes), Castle (10 minutes), Chiado (5 minutes), Bairro Alto (10 minutes). The river front is also at 5 minutes.
In the neighborhood you can find all kind of necessary shops for the everyday life.
Supermarkets (3 minutes), Bakery (2 minutes), Coffe Shops (1minute).
In the neighborhood you will find also all kind of shops, restaurants and nightlife.
We are a couple living in the house.
We spend half of the month in the country side in the south (Tavira - Algarve), where we also have a house.
I'm an Architect and my girlfriend is Lawyer, but she is mainly working with culture now.
When we are in Lisbon we spent most of the time working. So we like to live in a quite house.
But any way the house is big enough so that we all can have our private space and quietness.
Basically only the 35 sqm kitchen is shared.
The rules of the house are basically "Noblesse oblige":
-We appreciate to have a clean kitchen, but we are not obsessed with cleaning;
(Any way a cleaning lady comes every week to clean all the house)
-We don't mind to have a couple guests, but if you want to do a party or big dinner we appreciate you would tells us in advance. The some applies the other way around.
