15 beautiful square metres, which offer a lot of room for development and design due to the square cut with high ceilings. An absolute highlight are the two arched windows, which not only look beautiful, but also flood the room with pleasant light during the day. Your room faces south and every now and then you can listen to the conversations of the good morning shop on the corner if you don't want to be in the middle of the action yourself.
The 2nd floor consists of a living room, open kitchen, working and common area (a total of 90m2 of common space). The area impresses with a high ceiling and resembles a loft (which has been proven to stimulate creativity). Directly adjacent is a wonderful balcony with an enchanting view of our leafy inner courtyard. Here we spend relaxing evenings together with our neighbours and in summer it's a great place to sunbathe. There is a small bathroom with a shower and a large bathroom with a bathtub and washing machine, both of which are shared by three people, as one room has its own bathroom and shower. The kitchen, as well as all the equipment, is very modern - free-standing cooking island with cooker, extractor bonnet, etc., dishwasher, large refrigerator and all the necessary kitchen appliances.
The flat-sharing community is located very centrally and yet quietly in the centre of Lüneburg. In the street itself, there is not only our Mosaique (spoiler), but also many other initiatives and associations. Just around the corner is Schröderstraße with many small cafés and restaurants. It takes 3-4 minutes to walk to the nearest bus stop and about 10 minutes by bike to Lüneburg University. Bakers and supermarkets are also within walking distance. The market (twice a week) is a stone's throw away.
You will be living with four other people and our little sunshine, Nadiya (1 year old).
Lunhaw (31) and Vennel (32) came together with their child Nadiya from the Philippines to Germany three months ago. As Human Rights Activists they travel around a lot to attend conferences, give workshops and show solidarity with other groups. Besides from that, they cook often, do Yoga and learn German. They are very sociable and always happy to chat or do something together.
Andra (22) has lived in the flat the longest. She is very involved in transformative education, environmental protection and social justice and is currently in the final stages of her studies at Leuphana University. When she's not busy with future planning, university and activism, she likes to meet up with friends, do sports, attend cultural events, and devote herself to creative activities.
At the moment we don't spend that much time together, as everyone is very busy and out a lot. But with the new arrivals, we would be happy if that changed again. So if you are also sociable and like to do things together, you would fit in well here. Sometimes we have running dinners or game and film evenings together with the other flatmates in the house (2 other flatmates and two single flats). Of course, you can also withdraw and be for yourself. In general, we live together in a trusting atmosphere in which open communication is very important to us.
Our shared flat is part of the Mosaique House of Cultures. On the ground floor is the Mosaique hall, which is a cultural meeting place under normal circumstances. There are also various dance and music courses, concerts and yoga sessions here on a regular basis. The house represents a vision to bring people together regardless of culture, background, country, religion or sexual orientation. You can read more about the house on the official website: www.mosaique-lueneburg.de.
If you feel like it, you can get involved with a project or an idea.
