Room (1-room-apartment) wanted!

I am starting my research in Mainz soon and I would like to rent a room (or an 1-room-apartment) from around Jan 1st for at least three months(so that I can be familiar with the city). But of course the renting period could be longer.

I am male, 25 years old, and will be studying neuroscience and linguistics for my doctorate degree at the University of Mainz.

I am hoping that the location of the room (apartment) is convenient, somewhere in the old city, new city, or close to the university is preferred. The room (apartment)has to be furnished, or it could be too cold for me to sleep on the floor in the German winter :P

I am Chinese, speak very fluent English, and basic French and Italian, but unfortunately almost ZERO German, so I am hoping that my future roomates speak some English, and if possible, are will to endure my beginner level German... I have lived in Canada for a year before, and in Milan, Berlin, and Holland for altogether a year and a half. I am very easy-going and am a very good roomate to live with.
