Hi! Ich (Isi) werde ab Februar bis ende Juli für mein Praktikum aus Mannheim gehen, weswegen mein Wg-zimmer frei wird. Du kannst aber gerne schon von Januar bis Ende August drin sein, da bin ich sehr flexibel. Da ich danach in Mannheim nur noch ein Semester meine Bachelorarbeit schreiben muss, besteht für dich die Möglichkeit das Zimmer weiter zu übernehmen, falls dir die Wg auch so ans Herz wächst wie mir - da können wir gemeinsam schauen wie es passt:)
Jetzt ein paar Infos zum Zimmer: der große Vorteil ist, dass wir wunderschöne hohe Altbaudecken haben, weshalb in jedem Zimmer ein Hochbettgestell eingebaut ist. Das heißt die Zimmerfläche ist komplette Nutzfläche und du sparst dir Platz für dein Bett. Falls du das Zimmer nur zur Untermiete willst, vermiete ich es gerne größtenteils möbliert (der Schrank ist sowieso fest eingebaut). Wenn du Eigenes mitbringst finden wir aber auch eine Lösung.
In der Wohnung ist alles was man braucht Bad mit Dusche und Fenster, Waschmaschine, Küche mit Herd und Ofen, und ganz viele tolle Küchengeräte (Crêpe-maker, Waffeleisen, Mixer, Kaffeemaschine, Fondue...)
Außerdem haben wir einen Gemeinschaftsbalkon, der an Maiks Zimmer rausgeht und einen Innenhof für Fahrräder, wo im Sommer auch gegrillt werden kann.

Hi! I (Isi) will be leaving Mannheim for my internship from February to the end of July, which is why my shared room will be free. But you are more than welcome to stay from January to the end of August, I am very flexible. Since I only have to write my bachelor thesis in Mannheim for one more semester after that, there is the possibility for you to take over the room if you guys get along super well in the flat:)
Now some information about the room: the big advantage is that we have beautiful high ceilings in the old building, which is why there is a loft bed frame in every room. This means that the room area is completely usable and you save space that would have been used by your bed. If you only want to sublet the room, I will be happy to rent it out mostly furnished (the wardrobe is built in anyway). If you bring your own things, we can also find a solution.
The apartment in general has everything you need: bathroom with shower and window, washing machine, kitchen with stove and oven, lots of great kitchen appliances (crêpe maker, waffle iron, blender, coffee machine...).
We also have a shared balcony next to Maik's room and a patio for your bike where you can have also a barbecue in the summer.
Das tolle an der Lage ist, dass du direkt in den Quadraten bist (ohne in den Quadraten zu wohnen) und sofort im Jungbusch (ohne den Jungbusch Trubel). Außerdem musst du nur über die Straße und du bist sofort in der Mensa (ganz großes Plus) und du wohnst quasi neben der Uni und den Bibs.
Wenn du mal etwas Auszeit brauchst ist direkt hinter unserem Haus der Rhein und dann der Waldpark, perfekt zum Joggen oder Spazieren oder sich im Sommer einfach auf der Rheinwiese treffen.
Die Straßenbahnstation Schloss/ Universität ist in 5min Laufnähe, sowie auch die Nextbike Station bei A5 und der Mensa/ Schneckenhof. Mit dem Fahrrad zum Bahnhof braucht es dann auch nur 5 min oder wenn du läufst 18min.
Mein/dein Zimmerfenster geht (leider) direkt zur Straße raus. Dadurch hört man natürlich Autogeräusche, aber da gewöhnt man sich super schnell dran, und das macht der Parkring aber sofort wieder wett, weil alle die hier wohnen nur super liebe, unkomplizierte Studis sind.

The great thing about the location is that you are right in the Quadrate (without living in the Quadrate) and immediately in Jungbusch (without the Jungbusch hustle). Plus, you only have to cross the street to get to the Mensa (big plus) and you live right next to the university and the libraries.
If you need some time out, the Rhine is right behind our house and then the Waldpark, perfect for jogging or walking or simply meeting up on the Rheinwiese in summer.
The Schloss/ Universität tram station is a 5-minute walk away, as is the Nextbike station near A5 and the Mensa/ Schneckenhof. The train station is only 5 minutes by bike or 18 minutes if you walk.
My/your room window (unfortunately) goes directly out onto the street. So you can hear car noises, but you get used to it really quickly and the Parkring makes up for it straight away, because everyone who lives here are just super nice, and open students.
In der WG leben der liebe Eric (25) und der Maik (21). Eric ist schon seit über 3 Jahren in der Wg und promoviert momentan an der Hochschule in Biotechnologie, das heißt er arbeitet meistens bis 17 Uhr. Maik hab ich vor 2 Jahren in die Wg geholt weil wir schon in der Heimat befreundet waren, er studiert im 2. Semester CELLS (also Anglistik) an der Uni.
In der WG verstehen wir uns alle super und haben uns sehr lieb gewonnen. Die Küche ist quasi der WG-Mittelpunkt, das heißt wir kochen ab und an zusammen oder treffen uns einfach zufällig beim essen und verquatschen uns auch sehr gerne, wenn wir schon längst ins Bett wollten:) Wir sind keine "Party-Wg" aber Geburtstage werden aufjedenfall gemeinsam gefeiert, an sich sind wir aber eher gemütlich und entspannt, d.h. Me-time ist absolut in Ordnung.
Wichtig ist uns auf jeden Fall offene Kommunikation, Respekt im Umgang miteinander und mit den Dingen anderer und ein Gefühl von Sauberkeit und Ordnung.
Ich bin wirklich sehr zuhause in dieser Wg und hab sie super lieb, deshalb würde es mich mega freuen jemanden zu finden der sich auch wohl fühlt !

In the flat live Eric (25) and Maik (21). Eric has been in the flat for over 3 years and is currently doing his doctorate in biotechnology, which means he usually works until 5pm. I brought Maik into the flat 2 years ago because we were already friends back home. He is studying CELLS (English language and literature) in his 2nd semester.
We all get on really well. The kitchen is more or less the center of the flat, which means we cook together from time to time or just happen to meet up over a meal and like to chat. We're not a "party flat" but we definitely celebrate birthdays or special occasions together, but in general we're more cozy and relaxed, meaning me-time is absolutely fine.
Open communication, respect in dealing with each other and with other people's stuff and a sense of cleanliness are definitely important to us.
I am really at home in this flat and love it a ton, so It´d be great to find someone who also feels comfortable!
