Looking for a nice subtenant for my WG Room in the Oek student dorm in Munich.
The time period would be from 20.08.23 until 14.09.23.
About the room:
The room is 18m2 and is partially furnished:
-fairly sized closet
-sink
-chair
-table
-double bed
The room has a little balcony as well, with a table and a couple of chairs.
Other shared areas of the dorm are:
-fully furnished kitchen
-WC/Showers
-very nice garden behind the flat (facing the balcony)
-reading room for studying mostly
-in/house fitness rooms
-music/jam room
-movie/party room
-laundry room (washing machines + dryers)
About the position there's no question that it is in the heart of Maxvorstadt, 2-3 mins away from the Theresienstraße U-Bahn, 4-5 mins away from TUM (Arcisstraße), etc. If you have to be in a train at Hauptbahnhof, you are practically in ca. 15 min at the platform! You are very near the Pinakotheken and Englischer Garten.
Lidl, Edeka, REWE, dm, Rossmann, Netto, McDonalds, various Kebab and Falafel places, practically in front of your door.
A dream location in Munich!
People here tend to do relatively a lot together, but the also respect your private space. There are often movie nights where anyone can join freely, events organised by the students themselves, and of course spontaneous dorm parties in englischer garten or the pinakotheken. People are very friendly and communicative and there are a lot of nationalities living and clashing together! Having said all that, in exam periods everybody is concentrated on their exams so it's a nice co-working environment as well!
