Es liegt im Süden von München und zeichnet sich besonders aus durch die Infrastruktur, wie Geschäfte des täglichen Bedarfs, Einkaufszentren, Arztpraxen, Banken und Restaurants. Auch befindet sich in unmittelbarer Nähe der Forstenrieder Park. Weiters verfügt Forstenried über die beste Mobilität zur Münchner Innenstadt durch S-BAHN und ist auch mit sehr guten Verbindungswesen zu den Autobahnen (z.B. Starnberg/Garmisch) in alle Richtungen angebunden.
