An active PhD student is looking for a room!

Hey everyone! I am Julius, 30, a Lithuanian who is looking either for a room in a cool WG or a 1-room apartment. My current rental contract ends on 31.12 and having a new place by the end of December or beginning of January would be perfect.

I have lived in Munich for 5 years by now doing a PhD in aerospace engineering at TUM (fully funded position). Due to me changing countries often, I have shared a flat with 41 different person by now. We didn't get along with 2 of them, I forgot the names of 8, with 10 of them we developed long-term friendships and with one of them we became best friends. My mom, dad and sister are excluded from this list.

I prefer talking in English. However, at at this point I also do have friends with whom I talk almost exclusively in German. They forced me to, and it helped. Even though the first German book that I have finished was Die Känguru-Chroniken, I'm still sloppy with writing in German - so please excuse me!

Cycling is my main hobby. Therefore, I come with 4 bikes (at least one of them will stay in my room). Next to that I enjoy an occasional evening at Harry Klein or Bahnwährter Thiel.

When at home I like spending time with the flatmates, having an occasional dinner/breakfast together or watching a movie. Hiking and visiting museums is also in my activity list. Occasionally I need some privacy and will therefore have my doors closed.

Highlights from this year - applying to become an astronaut (made it into top 400, but not further), doing a 24h team-relay cycling race and participating in a car rally from Budapest to Freetown (Sierra Leone) (www.facebook.com/RallyPostB2B).

Requirements for the room/flat - bedroom of at least 13 squares, close to the U6 line, preferably central (Goetheplatz to Giselastrasse), price up to 750€ (warm).
