Your future room is 8m², has a big window with a shutter which is facing the quiet terrace of the building.
It is fully furnished: single bed (mattress included), wardrobe, desk, shelf and mirror.
We can show you the room in details with a short video call if you're interested.
The room will be free starting on the 1 June 2022 but a flexible time can also be negotiated.
About the rest of the flat: there are 2 bathrooms and a kitchen. The kitchen is also fully furnished and equipped (dishwasher, microwave, oven, hotplates, toaster…). No need to bring dishes, glasses or kitchenware, everything is already here 😉 We also have a living room with a cozy couch, chairs and a TV where happy moments happen.
Our WG is in ST. Johannis, next to St. Johannisfriedhof.
The location is perfect: it’s located in a side street, 2 minutes away from the Pegnitzgrund (Theodor-Heuss-Brücke) and the Westbad (swimming pool). There are also a lot of shops in the neighbourhood (Aldi, Rewe, Norma, Rossman), drugstores, pharmacies, doctors, dönershops, pizzerias, bars, cafés…
The transport connection is also very good: you can find a bus stop (line 34) 3 minutes from the WG, and the tram stops “St. Johannisfriedhof” and “Julienstraβe” are also 5 minutes away.
The WG is around 20 minutes by feet from Nürnberg’s central city, and 20 minutes by transports from the main train station. The university and university of applied sciences are also easy to reach: by bike it takes 15 min, 20 min with public transports.
If you have a bike, you can go everywhere you need to go in Nürnberg within 15 minutes 😊
I will be leaving for a job in another city but I really enjoyed my time in this flat with this group of diverse, amazing people.
For now, we are 2 women and 7 men, between 22 and 35 years old. We are a nice and funny group of students and workers with different background. We have multiple nationalities and cultures: German of course, but also Ukrainian, Chinese, Argentina, Iranian and Syrian. We often do activities together, such as going to the cinema, partying, cooking.... We also like to meet together in the kitchen or in the living room for more or less "highly intelligent" conversations, and to do some barbecues at the Pegnitzgrund nearby. However, we are not a party WG, so you won’t have any problem to have some quiet time for yourself.
We are looking for a sociable and open-minded person, who likes to talk and spend time with others. We are not a WG where people only stay in their room all the time. That’s why we are searching for someone who likes to hang out once in a while and spend some quality time with us. 😉
Of course, we also respect each other's privacy so whenever we want or need to, we also stay in our rooms in peace.
To keep the language barrier low, it would be good if you can speak English.
You can find some bicycle stands on our terrace, where we lock our bicycles. It’s is also for common use (to dry the laundry, have some meal, etc).
We also have a cleaning plan that works quite well: since each one of the 9 people has to clean only a small part of the flat per week, we expect you to do your task seriously, in order for everybody to keep the flat nice and clean.
The rent for the room is 265€ per month. In addition to that, each one of us gives every month 15€ to the “cash-box”. This money will be used to pay supplies like toilet paper, cleaning products, GEZ, internet and any future upgrade that everyone agrees upon.
Before your arrival, you also have to pay a deposit of 500€, but you will get it back once you leave the WG.
