Hello all! (Please forgive the mess on the photos, I promise it will be tidy when you move in :)
Before I jump into details an important disclaimer:
OUR LANDLORD IS FORCING US TO FIND A GERMAN SPEAKER. EVEN THOUGH WE ABSOLUTELY DO NOT CONDONE THIS R*CIST CHOICE, HE IS NOT BACKING OUT. SO THEREFORE, WE CAN ONLY ACCEPT PEOPLE WHO CAN SPEAK A FAIRLY GOOD AMOUNT OF GERMAN (I would say around B2-C1 the least).
As I am moving out, my room in Altstadt with an unbelievably cheap price is getting vacant!
The room is fairly large and the one that gets the most sunlight in the whole flat since it is located under the roof. Therefore, it can get pretty hot in the summer but only for a couple of weeks.
A couple of things:
- There is no deposit (I know, amazing right?).
- I will leave all the furniture except the black side table.
- The mattress is second-hand and is not the best.
- As you will read later on, we share the most common food items so that would be included in the miscellaneous costs as well as the Internet which is around 9 euros per month. And do not forget the radio/tv tax which is around 3-4 euros per month :)
Other than that there is nothing you need but your suitcase!
The flat is right at the city centre, next to Harmonie Cinema. So everything is reachable!
In the WG there is Katie, Tao, Luz, and Mahsa who are studying and/or working :)
The WG shares the most used food items such as vegetables, oil, milk, etc. Stuff like meat, cheese, or anything special is kept in the private fridge :)
One thing to keep in mind is since the flat's floor is fairly old, it is almost always creaky when you walk and climb up the stairs to my and Luz's room which can cause discomfort in the rooms below during late hours. So that is something to keep in mind!
Cooking together, chilling, and going out for drinks and to demos are common, although realistically since everybody has their own schedules can be tough at times.
