Starting September 1st (earlier move-in possible), we will have a room available in our 3-person shared flat!
The flat is 120m² in total, on the 5th and highest floor of a well-maintained 120-year old building (no elevator). Your room would be 12m² with two north-facing windows. It also has a storage heater for those cold winter days and real wood floors.
The room can be taken over furnished for an extra charge - the furniture includes a bed and two shelves already installed in the wall.
In addition to our own rooms, we share a large living / dining room with a beautiful view of the adjacent Elisabethenanlage park. Above that we have a cozy lofted attic space, which we often use for yoga and remote working.
Our apartment is located in heart of Stuttgart-West, in between S-Bahn stops Feuersee and Schwabstraße (S1-S6) and U-Bahn stops Schwab-/Bebelstraße and Schloss-/Johannesstraße (U2, U9) - all within 5 minutes walking distance!
Only a few minutes walk are REWE, Edeka, a butcher, several bakeries, etc. Also nearby, on the weekends, is a farmer's market at Bismarckplatz. For breakfast, coffee, and drinks in the evening, Stuttgart-West offers many options for all tastes: there are cafes, bars, and restaurants (but despite the lively location, there is little traffic at our place on Ludwigstraße). And if that's not enough, you can walk into the city center within 15 minutes.
You would be living with me, Tiffany (design technologist and researcher at ICD Universität Stuttgart), and Elmer (an architect). We are both down-to-earth, creative, and care about sustainability as well as shaping the WG as a clean, comfortable, and inclusive space while reflecting our own design sensibilities.
During the week, we have very different schedules but we might meet in the kitchen to cook or share an after-work drink. On the weekends, we sometimes spend time just relaxing in the spacious common areas of the apartment.
We would love to live with someone who:
* is down-to-earth and creative
* would like to help shape the WG
* is respectful of the common spaces
* would like to stay in the WG for a longer period of time
We have no fixed appointments in the WG - except for cleaning, of course ;)
The WG is privately rented and we have a great relationship with our landlords, who live in the building and take care of things quickly if something is broken or if there are any other issues.
* smoking is not allowed in the entire building
* pets are unfortunately not welcome
* a janitorial service takes care of the Kehrwoche (regular the sweeping / winter maintenance) - yay!
