The room is furnished with a bed, serveral shelves and a desk. As I move to Spain I would love to pass the furniture on to you for 200 €. I bought the mattress in February. I have to admit that the walls are quite thin so you might hear noises of your fellows, but I think you will quickly get used to it.
The flat comes with most amenities that you could want (2x fridge freezers, microwave, kettle, toaster, etc), there are two bathrooms so bottlenecks in the morning are not too common, and there are two washing machines in the basement.
The flat is located at Belthlestraße. It's 5 minutes to the old town and the nearby Rewe is open until 12 am. It's 3 minutes away from a wonderful spot at the ammer. You can also get in to the forest in 10 minutes or so. The train station is less than 10 minutes by bike. In my opinion, probably the best location in Tübingen.
The reason why I write in English is because Eleanor is from England and is still learning German. Although she is doing awesome, we are speaking English for the most part. She is doing her neuroscience masters, Vincent is here for his master thesis at the Psychiatrie, Theresa studies nanoscience and is also doing her master thesis, Marie is a midwife student and Lyn studies archeology.
We have some game nights throughout the month and within the week these classic cozy chats when cooking. During the day everybody is pursuing their studies or work. Summing up, it's a nice mixture between socialising and having personal space.
We are a fairly clean flat and as such, have a weekly cleaning rota that we like to follow ;)
Castings can be done online or in person with covid precautions. The majority of us have already received one vaccination. In the house there are several student apartments. So you might connect with some new people in the stairway or when doing the laundry.
If you really don't want to have anything of the furniture we'll find a solution for it! :)
