Die Wohnung liegt sehr zentral, in der Piaristengasse, nahe an der Lerchenfelderstraße, also an der Grenze zum 7. Vor der Haustür fährt der 13A weg, in 3 Gehminuten die 46er Straßenbahn, die U3-Station Volkstheater ist 7 Gehminuten entfernt. Die U2 Station Rathaus ist - sobald der U5-Bau in der Umgebung abgeschlossen ist - wieder 8 min entfernt.

Die Straße ist schön und ruhig, die Gegend voller netter Restaurants, Bars und Cafés. Kleinere Parks, wie der Burggarten oder der Hamerlingpark sind um die Ecke und auf der Donauinsel ist man im Sommer mit der U-Bahn (U3 Volkstheater oder U6 Thaliastraße) auch schnell. Am Wochenende ist der Markt in der Lange Gasse gleich um die Ecke. Geschäfte gibt es in Gehweite auch genug: Billa, Spar, Hoffer, Denns. Alles in 3-10 Minuten erreichbar. Bipa, DM, Bäckerei auch (2 min).

The flat's location is very central, in Piaristengasse, very close to Lerchenfelderstraße and thus on the border to the 7th district. The 13A leaves right in front of the door, the 46 tram is a 3-minute walk away, the U3 station Volkstheater is a 7-minute walk away. The U2 station Rathaus is also only 8 minutes away - once the U5 construction in the area is completed.

Piaristengasse is beautiful, the area full of nice restaurants, bars and cafés. Smaller parks like the Burggarten or the Hamerlingpark are around the corner and in summer you can also get to the Donauinsel quickly (via the U3 from Volkstheater or U6 from Thaliastraße). On weekends, there's a lovelymarket in Lange Gasse. There are several shops within walking distance: Billa, Spar, Hofer, Denns - all of them can be reached within 3-10 minutes. Bipa, DM and a bakery are also very close (2 min).

In der Wohnung lebe aktuell nur ich, Teresa. Bis vor kurzem habe ich aber mit jemandem gemeinsam hier gewohnt und bin es deshalb eh gewöhnt, mir die Wohnung zu teilen. Ich habe viele Jahre in anderen Städten, außerhalb von Österreich, gelebt, studiert oder gearbeitet, und bin entsprechend recht anpassungsfähig, sensibilisiert und rücksichtsvoll im Hinblick auf unterschiedliche Bedürfnisse. Ich hab es gern sauber. Also es muss nicht alles immer blitzblank sein natürlich, aber halt so, dass wir uns beide wohlfühlen.

Ich lerne gern neue Leute kennen, habe aber auch vollstes Verständnis für Privatsphäre/-Raum und -Zeit. Ich bin queer, weshalb LGBTQIA+ allyship halt Voraussetzung ist, um mit mir zusammenzuwohnen. Ich arbeite im Normalfall viel (zuletzt im NGO Bereich, davor aber auch schon in Forschung und Kommunikation oder im Weinhandel). Jetzt bin ich aber gerade auf dem Weg in die Bildungskarenz. Das heißt dann nicht, dass ich dauernd die Wohnung belagern werde. Im Gegenteil: ich bin generell viel unterwegs bzw. draußen und öfters auch im Ausland. Ich freue mich, wenn wir ab und zu gemeinsam was trinken, kochen oder sonst Zeit verbringen; muss aber auch nicht dauernd sein.

Home-Office ist in der Wohnung gut möglich. Entweder im eigenen Zimmer oder eben am großen Wohnzimmertisch, wo locker 2 Leute Platz haben. In den nächsten Monaten werde ich vermutlich aber eh weniger Home-Office Bedarf haben. Rauchen in der Wohnung, am Fenster, geht sich für mich manchmal auch aus. Also wenn's mal länger wird oder einfach so sein muss und so lange das für alle Anwesenden auch passt.

At the moment it's just me, Teresa, who lives here. Until recently, I used to live here with another person, though. So I am used to having someone around. I have lived in other cities, outside of Austria, for many years and am therefore quite adaptable, sensitive and considerate with respect to other people's needs. I like a clean flat, although not everything needs to sparkle at all times. I am actually in favour of some sort of reasonable cleaning rota, to avoid any sort of discomfort in that area for either of us.

I like meeting new people but also respect people's privacy/space and time. I am queer, which is why LGBTQIA+ allyship is a prerequisite for living with me. I usually work a lot (most recently in the NGO sector, but before I have also worked in research and communications or in the wine trade). However, at this point I will soon start my educational leave. That doesn't mean I'll be constantly hanging out at the flat, though. Quite to the contrary: I'm generally out and about a lot, often also abroad. I'm usually up for a drink or having dinner together, open to other shared activities too, but also need some time for myself.

Working from home is definitely possible, even if there's two of us. I have done it in the past, even sharing the big living room table, as there's easily room enough for two people. In the next few months, however, I probably won't need much of an office desk. Occasionally, I don't mind people (including myself) smoking inside, at the window. If friends are around and/or up until late, for example, or even if it's just one of these days - as long as everyone present is OK with it, I am usually too.
