Close by (3-min. walk) you will find the trams 37 & 38 (to e.g. Schottentor) as well as D (either to Nussdorf or Schottentor and further to Karlsplatz and Hauptbahnhof ). The U4 station Friedensbrücke is located at ca. 10-minute walking distance, and the U6 station Nußdorfer Straße is about 8 minutes away by foot. The neighbourhood is quiet yet central.

Die Haltestellen Canisiusgasse (Straßenbahnen 37 & 38) und Augasse (Straßenbahn D) sind in 3 Minuten zu Fuß erreichbar. Die U-Bahn-Stationen Friedensbrücke (U4) und Nußdorfer Straße liegen ca. 10 Minuten von der Wohnung entfernt. Die Lage ist sehr zentral aber trotzdem ruhig.

I am looking for a relaxed yet responsible person to share the lovely flat with me. I just finished my MA studies in Social and Cultural Anthropology, and am working at the University of Vienna since about 2,5 years. I grew up in Finland and moved to Vienna 6 years ago and have been living in this flat for approx. 2 years. I speak fluent German and English, Finnish is my first language and Swedish the second one. I started a course for German as a Second Language course last October to be formally qualified to teach adults.

For me it is important to have a home where the wishes are openly discussed and the general atmosphere is harmonious and mindful. Since I have family and friends abroad, I would at times host them in Vienna and offer them a place to stay in the living room. That would of course apply to you, too, whenever people are visiting :)

I am into long discussions (focusing rather on understanding than "being right"), love learning new things (languages and music are especially close to my heart), and walking around the city.
I would appreciate living with an open-minded and (self-)reflected roommate who shares some interests with me. Recently I have been thinking about (epistemic) in/justice, norms, knowledge, hierarchies, autonomy and agency. I observe the everyday with a curiosity.

Ich bin auf der Suche nach einer entspannten und verantwortungsbewussten Person, die mit mir die schöne Altbauwohnung teilt. Ich habe gerade mein Masterstudium in Kultur- und Sozialanthropologie abgeschlossen und arbeite seit etwa 2,5 Jahren an der Universität Wien. Ich bin in Finnland aufgewachsen und vor 6 Jahren nach Wien gezogen und lebe seit ca. 2 Jahren in dieser Wohnung. Ich spreche fließend Deutsch und Englisch, Finnisch ist meine erste Sprache und Schwedisch die zweite. Im Oktober letzten Jahres habe ich einen Deutsch als Zweitsprache -Lehrgang begonnen, um später in der Erwachsenenbildung (formal) qualifiziert zu sein.

Für mich ist es wichtig, ein Zuhause zu haben, in dem die Wünsche offen besprochen werden und wo die allgemeine Atmosphäre harmonisch und achtsam ist.
Ich mag lange Gespräche (wobei es mir mehr um das Verstehen als um das "Recht haben" geht), lerne gerne Neues (Sprachen und Musik liegen mir besonders am Herzen) und gehe gerne spazieren.

Ich würde mich freuen, mit einem aufgeschlossenen und (selbst)reflektierten Mitbewohner*in zusammenzuleben, mit der*dem ich einiges gemeinsam habe.

The rent (all included) is 550 euros per month, and the deposit is 1000 euros.

Moving in date can be negotiated; also e.g. 26. or 27.3. would be possible.
The minimum rental period would be 1.4.-31.8 (5 months).
