Hallo! Ich suche eine:n neue:n Mitbewohner:in für unsere 2er WG. Ich habe gerade im April die Hauptmiete übernommen – hier zu wohnen ist also auch für dich mindestens die nächsten 3 Jahre möglich. Kürzere Zeiträume gehen natürlich auch.
Dein Zimmer ist 15 m2 groß, mit einem großen Fenster Richtung Osten, also mit Morgensonne. Die Kaltmiete ist 422 Euro – mit Internet, Gas, Strom, Netzgebühr, Versicherung etc. sind es 490 Euro. Das Zimmer wird vermutlich leer sein, wenn du es übernimmst.
In der Küche gibt es einen riesigen Tisch, der auch ein super Arbeitsplatz ist. Ich arbeite da am liebsten. Auch die Küche hat ein großes Fenster und man schaut direkt in die Baumkronen. Die Küche ist voll ausgestattet. Es gibt einen Gasherd, Geschirrspüler, etc.
Das Badezimmer (mit Badewanne) in rosa und hellblau und die Toilette sind separat.
Es gibt auch einen super praktischen Abstellraum + auch ein Kellerabteil. Also jede Menge Platz für storage von Kram.
Die Wohnung ist im Sommer angenehm kühl und im Herbst/Winter kuschelig warm. Besonders im Sommer merkt man echt, wenn man aus der Innenstadt raus fährt, wie es hier um einige Grad kühler ist.
Eine Waschmaschine gibt es im gemeinsamen Waschraum. Der ist direkt auf unserer Etage, also ein paar Schritte entfernt. Und da von da gehts auf eine Freifläche, die ich gern als Balkon benutze. Oder zum Wäsche aufhängen. Auch da hat man Morgensonne. Von dem "Balkon" geht die Stiege runter in den Garten. Es ist ein Gemeinschaftsgarten, den eigentlich niemand außer mir nutzt. Es gibt einen kleinen Gartentisch und Stühle, ich habe auch mal eine Hängematte aufgehängt. Und momentan überlegt ich, so ein Fass du holen, für den Sommer. Nicht direkt ein Pool, aber auch zum abkühlen. (:

Hi, I am looking for a new roommate for our shared flat with 2 people. I just took over the main tenancy in April – so living here is also possible for you for at least the next 3 years. Shorter periods are of course also possible.
Your room is 15 m2, with a large window facing east, so you'll have morning sun. The basic rent is 422 euros – with internet, gas, electricity, network fee, insurance etc. it's 490 euros. The room will probably be empty when you take it over.
There's a huge table in the kitchen, which is also a great place to work. It's my favorite place to work. The kitchen also has a large window and you look directly into the treetops. The kitchen is fully equipped. There is a gas stove, dishwasher, etc.
The bathroom (with bathtub) in pink and light blue and the toilet are separate.
There is also a super practical storage room + also a cellar compartment. So plenty of space for storage of stuff.
The apartment is pleasantly cool in the summer and cozy and warm in the fall/winter. Especially in summer you really notice when you drive out of the city center how it is a few degrees cooler here.
There is a washing machine in the communal laundry room. It's right on our floor, just a few steps away. And from there, there's an open space that I like to use as a balcony. Or to hang out the washing. You get morning sun there too. From the “balcony”, the stairs go down to the garden. It's a communal garden that nobody actually uses except me. There's a small garden table and chairs, and I've also hung up a hammock. And at the moment I'm thinking about getting a barrel like this for the summer. Not exactly a pool, but also a place to cool off.
Die Lage ist direkt am Lainzer Tiergarten (bzw. Hörndlwald, der dann in den großen Lainzer Tiergarten über geht) – absolut ruhig und luftig, eine Oase am Stadtrand. In 5 Minuten bist du auf der Wiese vorm Hörndlwald, wo du den kompletten Blick über Wien hast. Ich geh dort gerne laufen. 5 Minuten in den Wald hinein, kommt man auf eine große Lichtung, mit einem Fußballplatz mitten im Wald. Auch in der Nähe ist der Rote Berg (15 Minuten zu Fuß).
Fußläufig gibt es 10 Minuten entfernt einen Spar. Das ist an der Jagdschlossgasse. Die öffentliche Anbindung ist durch den Bus (auch dort; zur U4 Ober St. Veit) bzw. die 62er-Bim (Endstation Lainz) gewährleistet. Ich fahre viel mit dem Rad, das ist auch immer eine gute Option. Auch wenn ich nicht den ganzen Weg in die Innenstadt fahren mag – dann eben unabhängig von den Busintervallen zur U-Bahn/S-Bahn. Ein süßes Kaffeehaus gibt es auch – das "Allgemein" in der Wolkersbergen Straße.
Im Wohnhaus wohnen nicht viele Leute, nur 4, drum kennen wir uns alle. Wenn man Hilfe braucht ist jemand da. Einige der insgesamt 8 Wohnung stehen derzeit leer. Das Haus ist am Ende einer Sackgasse. Es gibt viele Katzen in der Gegend.

The location is right next to the Lainzer Tiergarten (or Hörndlwald, to be exact, which then merges into the large Lainzer Tiergarten) – absolutely quiet and spacious, an oasis on the outskirts of the city. In 5 minutes you are on the meadow in front of Hörndlwald, where you have a complete view over Vienna. I like to go running from there in the woods. 5 minutes into the forest, you arrive at a large clearing with a soccer pitch, in the middle of the forest. Roter Berg is also nearby (15 minutes on foot).
There is a Spar supermarket 10 minutes away. This is on Jagdschlossgasse. Public transport connections are guaranteed by the bus (also there; to the U4 Ober St. Veit) or the 62 Bim (station Lainz). I cycle a lot, which is always a good option. Even if I don't want to ride all the way into the city center – then I can get to the subway/train regardless of the bus intervals. There is also a cute coffee house – the “Allgemein” in Wolkersbergen Straße.
Not many people live in the apartment building, only 4, so we all know each other. If you need help, someone will be there to help. Some of the 8 apartments are currently empty. The house is at the end of a dead end. There are lots of cats in the area.
Ich finde, das WG-Leben hängt davon ab, wie wir es uns machen.. Ich bin phasenweise sehr viel oder sehr wenig zuhause, weil ich am Theater und selbständig im Lektorat für Buchverlage arbeite. Wenn ich gerade ein Theaterprojekt hab, komm ich oft auch erst spät heim – Lektoratsarbeit mach ich hingegen nur von zuhause aus. Ich koche gern – auch immer gern mehr und gemeinsam essen, wenn es sich ergibt find ich fein, aber muss halt passen.
Ich hab, bevor ich letztes Jahr hier raus nach Hietzing gezogen bin, 6 Jahre hinterm Karlsplatz in einer familiären 7-9er WG gewohnt. Ich mag es, Leute um mich zu haben und gemütlich mit Kaffee/Tee zusammen zu sitzen oder nen Film zu schauen, whatever, halte aber auch Ruhe gut aus.
Was ich nicht mag: Ich möchte keine reine Zweck-WG. Und ich mag Heteronormativität nicht.
Ich spreche Englisch, ganz okay Italienisch und irgendwo tief vergraben auch Spanisch.
Mein Zimmer ist mit 30 m2 ziemlich groß, ich bin gerade dabei zu planen, die eine Hälfte wie ein Tanzstudio einzurichten. Wenn du gerne tanzt, kannst du das dann auf jeden Fall auch benutzen. Dauert aber noch ein bisschen. Im Sommer lebe ich so ziemlich fürs Implustanz-Festival – und eigentlich generell für alles was mit Performance-Kunst im weiteren Sinn zu tun hat, von Drag bis Musiktheater. Ich bin viel in queer spaces unterwegs und ich lese ur gern.

I think life in our shared flat depends on how the two of us make it for ourselves. I'm at home a lot or very little at times because I work in the theater and as a freelance editor for book publishers. If I'm working on a theater project, I often don't get home until late – then again I only do editing work from home for some time. I like to cook – I always like to cook more, and to eat together when the timing is convenient.
Before I moved out here to Hietzing last year, I lived behind Karlsplatz for 6 years in a family-like 7-9 person shared flat. I like having people around and sitting together with coffee/tea or watching a movie, whatever, but I'm also good with quiet.
What I don't like: I don't want a purely functional shared flat. And I don't like heteronormativity.
I speak English, my Italian is okay and somewhere deep down I also speak Spanish.
My room is quite big at 30 m2 and I'm currently planning to furnish one half like a dance studio. If you like dancing, you'll definitely be able to use it. But it'll take a while yet to get finished. In the summer, I pretty much live for the Implustanz festival – and actually for everything that has to do with performance art in a broader sense, from drag to music theater. I like spending time in queer spaces and I love reading.
