The room is very spacious, around 22qm, west sided facing a dead-end street so no drive through traffic. The room comes completely furnitured, also linen and towels if u would need some. As long as the sun is shining the room is very sunny and bright.
From a modern living kitchen all the private rooms are directly accessible, separated by a modern door to have a good sound insulation, even though I don't think we are loud people, but privacy is important to us.
In the room you will find a huge bed, 2x2m, wifi, flat screen television for streaming, wardrobe, desk, lamps, curtains, hardwood floor from the 70ies, typical viennese high rise ceilings (about 3m). Everything you need to feel at home and just move in with a suitcase. Typically in Vienna rooms don't come already furnitured, but I also have experience in living abroad, so I wanted to offer a completely useable room and comfortable experience for your stay in Vienna, how long it may be. So all the furniture is of course included in the rent.
The room will be available from September 1 2023. The room was more ment as a short term stay with changing flatmates, so the first contract will be around 6 months or shorter if wanted. We are open for anything, even if you only stay a view months or longer if everything works out perfectly.
The 15. dirtrict belongs to the "outer city" but still is an historical neighbourhood with beautiful old houses and streets. Most house constructed around 1880 to early 20th century. Grocery Shops in very close walking distance, as well as popular pubs and bars. University/ inner districts very easily reachable by walking, bike and public transportation. Train, tram, subway and bus station easily reachable and just 20m away - which will take you in less than 10 minutes central, and in about 20minutes mostly anywhere in vienna.
Closest public transportation: U3 Schweglerstrasse 30 seconds walk; U6/U3 Westbanhof 10minutes walk, 12A Schweglerstrasse, Tram 49 and 9 Schweglerstrasse 30 seconds walk
We speak German, Englisch, Telegu, Hindi, Spanisch, but to reach most people we will keep the text in English and so far mostly was the spoken language in the apartment.
Venkat and I (Martin) are sharing this apartment for almost three years now, the extra room was mostly rent out for foreigners and short term inhabitants of Vienna. We both are already working, so mostly during the week at the office/hospital or home office. We don't meet up every day but always time for some talk in the kitchen, spontanious lunch/dinner/wine/beer or apartment activities like board games, talking a walk/hike, going to restaurants, playing badminton.
Privacy and keeping the general areas clean enough to be enjoyable by everybody is very important to us. We are very open minded, and will expect the same from you. Home is a save space, so everybody who applies should be fine with any gender, ethnicity, religion, sexuality and so on. So far we did not have any bad experience and always interested in international arrivals and new stories.
I bought and renovated the apartment by myself a view years ago, but it is too big and lonely to live all alone in it, so I am renting out rooms.
This autumn hopefully and finally there will be small construction time in the kitchen (about 2 weeks) but it will pay out with a huge balcony afterwards.
I personally will travel a lot through the winter so I won't be much around from November ongoing, and probably will sublet my room as well. Also Venkat travel more than usual this winter, so we won't be around all the time.

100% green electricity from renewable sources. Hot water and zentral heat by gas burner.
Price already includes heating, electricity, internet .... no additional costs.
