Liebe Leute,
in unserer schönen Ottakringer WG wird ein Zimmer frei. Auf diesem zweckmäßig-unpersönlichen Weg suchen wir deshalb nach einem netten Menschen, der mit uns wohnen mag.
HARD FACTS
Du kannst ab dem 15.08. und spätestens zum 01.09. einziehen. Momentan zahlen wir monatlich 381,50 EUR Miete pro Person. Darin ist alles enthalten, auch Nebenkosten wie Strom, Gas und Internet. Wahrscheinlich wird sich durch deinen Einzug der Betrag noch ein bisschen ändern, falls wir neue Verträge für Strom und Gas abschließen. Die Kaution beträgt 1000 EUR und wird vor dem Einzug direkt an den Vormieter überwiesen. Nach deinem Auszug bekommst du also deine Kaution von deiner/deinem Nachfolger:in ausgezahlt. No worries, das ganze wird vertraglich festgehalten.
Dein Zimmer misst 16 qm und ist straßenseitig gelegen. Da wir uns im Juni 2023 eine neue Waschmaschine gekauft haben, würden wir dich bitten, 75 % des Anteils deines Vormieters (= 60 EUR) beizusteuern. Außerdem würde dir dein Vormieter seinen Kleiderkasten (20 EUR) und Couch (10 EUR) überlassen. Das ist aber nur ein Angebot. Du kannst das Zimmer auch leer beziehen oder weniger Möbel übernehmen. Sag am besten gleich Bescheid, wenn du dich für einige der Möbel interessierst. Je nachdem, wie viel du übernehmen magst, beträgt die Ablöse also 60 – 105 EUR.

In our beautiful Ottakringer shared apartment, a room will become available. Therefore, we are searching for a nice person who would like to live with us through this practical and impersonal means.
HARD FACTS
You can move in starting from August 15th and at the latest by September 1st. Currently, we pay a monthly rent of 381.50 EUR per person. This includes everything, including utilities such as electricity, gas, and internet. The amount may change slightly with your move-in if we need to sign new contracts for electricity and gas. The security deposit is 1000 EUR and will be transferred directly to the previous tenant before your move-in. After you move out, you will receive your deposit from your successor. No worries, the entire process will be documented in a contract.
Your room measures 16 sqm and faces the street. Since we purchased a new washing machine in June 2023, we would kindly ask you to contribute 75% of your predecessor's share (= 60 EUR). Additionally, your predecessor would leave you their 140x200cm mattress (15 EUR), wardrobe (20 EUR), couch (10 EUR), and nightstand (0 EUR). However, this is just an offer. Unsere Wohnung liegt an der Grenze zum 17ten Bezirk und ist super angebunden. In fußläufiger Nähe befindem sich Haltestellen zur U3 Ottakring (10 Min), S45 Hernals (9 Min), 2 Römergasse (5 Min), 43 Wattgasse (7 Min), 44 & 46 Ottakring (10 Min) und zum 10A Albrechtskreithgasse (7 Min). Lebensmittel einkaufen kann man hier auch fantastisch. Zu Billa, Penny, Hofer, Interspar oder Lidl brauchst du maximal 5 Minuten zu Fuß.
Zugegeben, es gibt coolere Orte im Westen. Zum Kaffetrinken oder Fortgehen fahren wir meistens ein paar Minuten Rad oder Bahn (zum Yppenplatz, in den 15ten oder 7ten). Wir haben unseren Grätzl trotzdem lieb und wissen seine kleinen Eigenheiten zu schätzen: Je nach Windrichtung riecht es hier abwechselnd nach Schokolade (Mannerfabrik), Hopfen (Ottakringer Brauerei) oder Kaffee (Meinl Rösterei). Auf der Speisekarte des Gasthauses unter uns gibt es jeden Tag Spanferkel als Tagesgericht. Und das Beste: TooGoodToGo-Sackerl sind hier nicht so schnell ausverkauft.
Zum Entspannen eignet sich der Kongresspark ("Gressi"), den man ebenfalls in wenigen Gehminuten erreicht. Im Sommer bietet der Wilheminenberg eine Top-Aussicht über die Stadt. Aus sicherer Quelle wissen wir, dass man dort auch prima bei ein paar Spritzern versacken kann. Der Wiener Wald und die Steinhofgründe sind auch nicht weit.

Our apartment is located on the border of the 17th district and is very well-connected. Within walking distance, you can find stops for the U3 Ottakring (10 minutes), S45 Hernals (9 minutes), 2 Römergasse (5 minutes), 43 Wattgasse (7 minutes), 44 & 46 Ottakring (10 minutes), and the 10A Albrechtskreithgasse (7 minutes). Grocery shopping is fantastic here as well. Billa, Penny, Hofer, Interspar, or Lidl are all within a maximum of 5 minutes walking distance.
Admittedly, there are cooler places in the west. For coffee or going out, we usually take a few minutes by bike or train (to Yppenplatz, the 15th, or 7th districts). Nevertheless, we love our neighborhood and appreciate its little quirks: Depending on the wind direction, you can smell chocolate (Manner factory), hops (Ottakringer Brewery), or coffee (Meinl roastery) in the air. The restaurant beneath us serves roast pork as a daily dish. And the best part: TooGoodToGo bags are not sold out here so quickly.
For relaxation, the Kongresspark ("Gressi") is a suitable place, which is also reachable in just a few minutes on foot. In the summer, the Wilhelminenberg offers a top view over the city. From a reliable source, we know that it's also a great place to enjoy a few drinks. The Vienna Woods and the Steinhofgründe are also not far away.

Meine Mitbewohner*innen sind Gabriel (24) und Janka (20).
Ursprünglich sind wir eine 4-Personen-WG, allerdings zieht unser geliebter Kolja aus und sein Zimmer (ebenso schön und geräumig) wird und das WG-Leben wird neu gestaltet. :)
Unsere Küche ist mit allerlei ausgestattet, weil besonders Gabriel gerne und viel
kocht, daher sind alle Utensilien vorhanden. Wir haben derzeit einen rotierenden
Putzplan, damit jede*r einmal drankommt!
Gabriel (24): Ich liebe Kulturen und Sprachen. Ich bin in Brasilien aufgewachsen und bin mit 15 Jahren alleine nach Frankreich gezogen, und jetzt lebe ich in Wien. Ich spreche fließend Portugiesisch, Französisch, Spanisch, Englisch, Japanisch, Deutsch und ein bisschen Russisch und Chinesisch. Ebenso studiere ich East Asian Economy and Society an der Universität Wien. Ich koche sehr gerne und schaue Filme! Ich bin ein bisschen extrovertiert, aber ich genieße auch Zeit zum Entspannen und Meditieren.
Przemek (22): Kommt aus Polen und spricht polnisch und englisch. - Er ist außerdem dabei deutsch zu lernen. Zurzeit arbeitet er, aber sobald er im Deutschen das Niveau C1 erreicht hat möchte er entweder Mathematik oder Medizin studieren. (Auch Sprachen). Liebend gern spielt er Videospiele und mag gerne Mangas und Anime und hört K-Pop. Die meiste Freizeit verbringt er gerne zuhause und ist ein bisschen schüchtern, genießt aber gute Gesellschaft und hat gute Witze parat.
Janka (20): Ich komme aus Ungarn und bin in Südtirol aufgewachsen, spreche daher ungarisch, deutsch, italienisch, englisch und ein bisschen französisch. Zurzeit gehe ich meinem Studium "Transkulturelle Kommunikation" nach und arbeite nebenher gelegentlich. Am Liebsten treffe ich meine Freund*innen zum Plaudern, Fortgehen und allgemein, um eine schöne Zeit zu haben. Ich schreibe gerne Texte und arbeite immer wieder an kleineren Projekten. Wenn es meine Zeit erlaubt verreise ich auch gerne!

My flatmates are Gabriel (24) and Janka (20).
Our flat is originally a 4 person WG, but our beloved Kolja is moving out, so that a new flat mate is going to move in soond!
Our kitchen is equipped with all kinds of things because Gabriel in particular likes to cook a lot.
We currently have a rotating cleaning schedule so that everyone gets a turn!
Gabriel (24): I love cultures and languages. I grew up in Brazil and moved alone to France when I was 15, and now I am living in Vienna. I speak fluently Portuguese, French, Spanish, English, Japanese, German and a bit of Russian and Chinese. Likewise, I study East Asian Economy and Society at the Vienna University. I really enjoy cooking and watching movies! I am a bit extrovert, but I also enjoy some time to chill and meditate.
Przemek (22): comes from Poland and speaks english and polish (and is about to learn a bit more german). He is really into video games, anime, manga and especially K-pop. For now he is working, but after his german level up to C1 he wants to study medicine or math + some language studies! Most of the time he prefers staying at home and is a little bit shy, but enjoys good company and has the best jokes.
Janka (20): I come from Hungary and grew up in South Tyrol, so I speak Hungarian, German, Italian, English, and a bit of French. Currently, I am pursuing my studies in "Transcultural Communication" and occasionally work on the side. I love to meet up with my friends to chat, go out, and simply have a good time together. I enjoy writing texts and frequently engage in smaller projects. Whenever I have the time, I also like to travel!
