Hello there!
As my dear flatmate was moving out, I am looking for a new flatmate to share this cozy WG with. The apartment, although is in an Altbau building, looks pretty nice and modern. It is quite spacious (~80 sq.m.), with two bedrooms of 20 sq.m. each and 40 sq.m. common area (couch, dining area, a bar, open kitchen). The WG is equipped with everything you need - i.e. household items including fully-equipped kitchen, dishwasher, washing machine, utensils, a couch, a bar, vacuum cleaners (robot and handheld), and plenty storage area. Your room is also fully furnished (a bed, a mattress, a desk, a shelf, and a wardrobe).
Cost
=====
The monthly rent (including betriebskosten, gas, electricity, internet and house+liability insurance) is ~400EUR.
There is no provision fee.
Public transport
================
Rosensteingasse (with access to tram 43) and Mayssengasse (Tram 2 and 9) are both within five minutes walk away.
Bus 10A (7 mins walk)
S-Bahn: S45 (15 mins walk, 2 stops tram to Hernals station)
Bike: If you’re a cyclist like me, congratulations! There’s a locked storage in our courtyard easily accessible for daily use.
My name is Ize. I’m originally from Thailand, but have been living in Vienna for 5 years doing my PhD (computational biology). I just started working in a pharmatech company and very much look forward for new adventures. :)
Before Vienna, I studied in Bangkok, London, Helsinki and Stockholm. I speak Thai (native), English , and some German. I like to fill my free time with sport (bike, swim, climb) and cooking (Thai mostly)!
Though being a scientist, I enjoy discussing topics like politics, history, and economics a lot.
Some thoughts about living together
===============================
As my flatmate is moving out, there was a point I thought that I might just dissolve the WG and go live by myself too.
At this stage I can definitely afford that. But it's just that I enjoy living in a WG so much, and the experiences with my flatmates so far been pretty cool. It is less just about sharing the costs, but more about sharing experiences.
Of course we should also respect each other’s private space and keep the common areas neat and tidy.
Party? House party sounds like something from a distant past for me, but having friends over dinner or drinks are more than welcome :D
Please feel free to message me with some intro about yourself. If I feel like we could be a match, I will reach out to you to arrange the apartment visit.
