Helles Zimmer Nähe Donaukanal, U4 Friedensbrücke und Augarten

Die Lage unserer Wohnung ist super – 2min Fußweg zum Donaukanal, 2min zum Hofer (Billa, Penny, Lidl, Bipa auch alle in der Nähe), der Hannovermarkt ist in der selben Straße und das beste Fladenbrot gibt’s in der Bäckerei an der Ecke. Es gibt auch unzählige andere gute Essensmöglichkeiten in der Nähe. Zum Augarten spaziert man gemütliche 8min.

Zur U4 Station Friedensbrücke läuft man ca. 7min, zur U6 Station Jägerstraße ca. 9min. Direkt ums Eck fahren auch die Bim-Linien 5, 31, 33, 38 ab. Mit dem Fahrrad ist man in ca 10min am Schottentor oder Schwedenplatz. Die Wohnung ist also gut angebunden.

The location could not be better (in my opinion) - 2min walk to the Donaukanal, 2min to Hofer supermarket (Billa, Penny, Lidl, Bipa also all nearby), Hannovermarkt (farmers market) is on the same street and the best flatbread is at the bakery on the corner. There are also countless other good food options nearby. To the Augarten it takes 8min to walk.

To the U4 station Friedensbrücke you walk for about 7min, to the U6 station Jägerstraße about 9min. Directly around the corner are also the tram lines 5, 31, 33, 38. By bike, you can reach Schottentor/Schwedenplatz in about 10 minutes. So the apartment is well-connected.

Zusammen leben wirst du mit Kaleb (he/him) und Maiwand (he/him). Beide sind am lohnarbeiten und studieren, aber dazwischen treffen wir uns sehr gern bei Kaffee und Keksen am Gangtisch, um die Verrücktheiten des Lebens etwas zu verarbeiten.
Maiwand düst gerne mit seinem Fahrrad durch Wien, kümmert sich liebevoll um die Wohnungspflanzen und kocht gerne Eintöpfe. Er befindet sich in einer sehr intensiven Phase seines Masterstudiums und ist daher viel am lernen. Außerdem arbeitet er in der Fahrgasterhebung und zusätzlich als Persönliche Assistenz, ein Job, den Kaleb auch macht.
Kaleb schraubt, werkelt und repariert alles auf was ihm in die Quere kommt. Als Kunst Student an der Angewandten, versucht er immer kreativere Wege zu finden, weniger für die Uni zu machen. Der hat mit dem wärmendem Wetter Lust auf Mountain-Biken und Materialjagd auf die unzähligen Baustellen in der Umgebung.

Wir legen viel Wert auf eine freundliche, achtsame Atmosphäre & verbringen gerne Zeit miteinander. Samstag gehen wir gemeinsam (oder eine Person, wer es halt grad schafft) zum Hanovermarkt und decken uns mit Gemüse für die Woche ein. Auch ansonsten teilen wir die Lebensmittel :). Über Repro Arbeit und unsere Bedürfnisse im Zusammenleben sprechen wir regelmäßig, es ist uns wichtig, dass sich alle damit wohl fühlen. :)

Wir kochen generell für- und miteinander, fahren schwimmen auf die Donauinsel oder begarteln unsere neu verpatete Baumscheibe vor unserem Haus. Im Winter schauen wir gemeinsam Filme auf unserem Beamer (oder fallen in Youtube Rabbitholes). Gleichzeitig sind wir auch alle recht beschäftigt, und es kommt auch mal vor, dass wir uns ein paar Tage nicht so viel begegnen.

Uns ist ein achtsamer Umgang untereinander und mit anderen sehr wichtig. Dazu gehört für uns auch das Reflektieren von eigenen Privilegien und eine Sensibilität gegenüber Diskriminierungsformen.

You'll be living with Kaleb (he/him) and Maiwand (he/him). Both are working and studying, but in between we like to meet up at the hallway table over coffee and biscuits to try to process some of life‘s most absurd moments.
Maiwand likes to ride his bike through Vienna, lovingly looks after the plants in the flat and enjoys cooking stews. At the moment, he is in quite an intense phase of his Master studies, meaning that a lot of time is spent studying. He also works for the ÖBB and as a personal assisstent, a job which Kaleb also does.
Kaleb screws, tinkers and repairs anything that gets in his way. Being an art student, he is always looking for more creative ways to do less for the uni. As the weather warms up, he is looking forward to more mountain-biking and hunting for materials in the various building-sites strewn throughout the city..

We attach great importance to a friendly, attentive atmosphere and enjoy spending time together. On Saturdays we go to the nearby market together (or one person, whoever can make it) and stock up on vegetables for the week. We also share our other groceries :). We regularly talk about household work and our needs when living together as it is important to us that everyone feels comfortable with their contributions.

We generally cook for and with each other, go swimming on the Danube Island or garden our newly adopted tree patch in front of our house. In winter, we watch films together on our projector (or fall into YouTube Rabbitholes). At the same time, we're all quite busy and sometimes we don't see each other much for a few days.

It's very important to us to treat each other and others with respect. For us, this also includes reflecting on our own privileges and being sensitive to forms of discrimination.

Wir haben vor kurzem einen Kühlschrank sowie einen Staubsauger angeschafft - dafür werden wir einen Ablöse von €150 verlangen, ein drittel des Gesamtpreises also. :)

We recently bought a fridge and a vacuum cleaner - a third of the total price for both (€150) is also required for our flatmate who is moving out :)
