Right now, the flat is completely furnished. It's clean, modern and quite large, with big windows, a roof-top balcony, lighting, curtains, etc. The kitchen is quite nice, with modern appliances, including dishwasher and coffee maker. Plates, bowls, cutlery, cooking instruments etc are provided, but of course you can bring your own stuff too! The living room is upstairs with a set of couches, a huge shelf that still has space if you have books, Smart TV and Chromecast. The windows are huge. It's a great place to chill out in the evenings, or to bring friends over to party on the weekends.
Toilet and bathroom are separated as it is the Vienna style. There are two basins, a shower cabin, a bathtub and a washing machine in the bathroom. There is a storage room in the flat and one in the backyard, plus a public bike room to share with the neighbours.
The room for rent is furnished with a queen-sized bed, bedside tables, drawers, lamp, etc. The windows overlook the backyard. There is still space for a desk or some other suff if you want to bring some with you of course!
The flat is in the diverse 15th district, 10 minutes walk from the famous 7th district. There is a tram stop (9, 49) right outside the building and there are three U-bahn stations in very short walking distance from the building: Schweglerstraße (2 min), Burggasse/Stadthalle (5 min) and Westbahnhof (7 min). Lots of supermarkets around and two shopping malls (Lugner City and Westbahnhof) also in close vicinity.
My boyfriend and I (he's 28, from Australia; I'm 26, from Iran) are looking for a housemate for our two-storey two-bedroom flat, who is preferably on a short stay here in Vienna. We might have parents visiting every 6 months and we would like to have a free room for them. But if you're interested in a shorter or longer rental of the room, that's OK with us too, but we will need to reach an agreement about our guests. The listed price is for the whole flat; 600 includes Nebenkosten, electricity, gas and water.
I have recently finished my Master's and am currently unemployed, looking for jobs here in Vienna. My boyfriend works for a tech company and also does some academic work with the Austrian Academy of Science. We have both studied (computational) linguistics.
The room is available from the 5th of January, since we'll still have guests until the 2nd or 3rd. You can come pretty much any evening and take a look, please just send an email and we'll arrange it. The best thing for now is for you just to write if you have any questions about the specifics. We can also discuss it in person if you want to come over!
Thanks 🙂
