British/American married couple (& tiny dog) looking for private studio/1 bedroom flat for 6 months! :)

Hallo!

We are Ashleigh (32, American, voiceover actor), Nick (30, English, videographer & bartender), and our dog Trico (4, Miniature Pinscher/Miniature Poodle mix, house-trained, does not shed!) and we are hoping to move to a private studio apartment or 1 bedroom flat in Berlin on 01 June 2018. We would like to rent for a period of 6 months, with possibility of extension. We love traveling and exploring new cities, and have decided that Berlin should be our next adventure and home :)

We are both very artistic people who love movies, theatre, and music. My husband is hoping to take some film-making classes as well as find work in the Berlin entertainment scene, and I will continue to work as a self-employed voice actor for radio, television, and games. We are also both very excited take German classes! Aside from our love of the arts, we are cozy homebodies who prefer staying in, cooking, cuddling the dog, and watching TV over clubbing or nightlife. We would prefer an apartment very close to public transportation, as we will not have a car, but otherwise are open to many different areas of Berlin!

Neither of us have lived in Germany before, so we do not yet have a SCHUFA (jetzt beantragen) , however we would be able to provide more than one month's rent as a deposit. We already have enough money saved up to pay for an entire six-month rental right now, and can provide a letter of recommendation from our current landlord/housemate.
