The room itself is approximately 25 m2 and features charming old wooden floors. It comes furnished with a futon bed, table with chairs and a cloth rack. The room is also equipped with an old stove which we don't use and is more decorative than functional. You will also have access to a balcony with plants.
The whole apartment has an area of around 130 m2 . You'll also have access to a large shared kitchen, a bathroom with toilet and a separate toilet.
Our flat is situated in a typical Berliner Altbau with its characteristic creaky wooden floors, drafty doors, and high ceilings. The location is fantastic, with Gorlitzer Park and the U1/U3station and bus M29 right next door. Several supermarkets are just a short walk away, and the Turkish markets held on the canal twice a week are within proximity. Please note that this area is lively, and it may not always be completely quiet at night.
We have a room available in our Kreuzberg flat and are seeking a new flatmate to join our friendly and inclusive community. We believe in living with individuals who are considerate, clean, and share our love for nature, the environment, and cats. Please note that we are looking for someone who genuinely appreciates a conscious and eco-friendly lifestyle, including practices like low-impact living, recycling, and reducing plastic usage.
We're not dogmatic about it, but it is a fundamental goal and guideline. Therefore, we're looking for people who appreciate and practice these values. We use wind gas, green electricity, and a sustainable bank for our shared account - not just to leave the lights on day and night :)
Our diverse household consists of individuals from different backgrounds, including Germany and France, along with our two adorable cats.
I, Roxanne, am from France and work as an artist and activist. I have an office management job during the week and organize exhibitions, draw, and paint on weekends. I would love to share my place with a creative and committed person and perhaps discuss over a good meal, a beer (or tea). Honesty is essential to me, and it's important that we can communicate openly and resolve conflicts if they arise..
Katrin, on the other hand, is a talented stage and set designer, as well as a jivamukti teacher.
Our feline companions include Chilli, a ginger cat with an impressive purr, and Yuna, a cute and slightly mischievous black princess.
We share common interests in good food, nature, caring for the environment, and maintaining open communication.
While we enjoy socializing over a drink or indulging in delicious treats like cake together, it's important to note that our home is not a party house. We prioritize maintaining a peaceful and respectful environment for everyone to thrive in.
We value open communication, a friendly atmosphere, and welcoming conversations. You will always feel at ease joining us for discussions and occasional treats like chips and chocolate. Although we enjoy spending time together, we also recognize the need for personal space, and each individual has their own room to retreat to. We encourage a cooperative living arrangement and appreciate individuals who take responsibility for cleaning and proper waste disposal.
We are looking for a community, not just a practical flat-share.
We have a large open kitchen, which often leads to spontaneous encounters. However, if we only meet by chance, it can feel like meeting occasional hotel guests. Instead, we prefer flatmates who are open to sharing meals, drinks, activities, sports, games, walks, cultural experiences, and more - even spontaneously!
- Female or queer applicants are preferred.
- We are a smoke free WG ( even on the balcony)
- It's also important for us that the person enjoys taking care of the plants on the balcony.
- Internet is not included in the price, it will be around 10 euros.
- Even if we both speak German , we communicate in English
- We are a vegetarian flat but we are trying to eat as vegan as possible. We would appreciate it if you don't eat/cook meat or fish in the apartment.
-Costs : rent is 700 euros + 80 euros for cleaning + 13,3 euros for internet .
The apartment is super stunning and cozy. As you know, finding a place to live in Berlin is like embarking on a quest for the Holy Grail, and boy, do we receive a ton of inquiries! That's why we decided not to bombard you with too many photos, so you can focus on the fantastic community aspect rather than getting dazzled by the sheer beauty of the place. But hey, if you want to see more, just drop us a line and come for a visit. We promise it's worth it!
If you are interested in joining our welcoming community, please send us a message with the subject line: CHILLI. This will let us know that you have read and understood our post. Write a short description of you and why you would love to join our community.
Important : the visits will take place on the weekend of 20th/21st January
We appreciate your attention and look forward to hearing from you!
