500 Euro for entire period. Huge space available for sublet from 2nd December to January 16th period whilst I'm away in Asia. The building is part of the wider Kaos warehouse district, surrounded by tons of creativity (and the riverfront right at the front door). The building is a functional but friendly environment (80/20 German/International split). Social if you want it, but private/quiet enough to lock yourself away for a day or so without people realising.
In terms of what will be included in the room. There is a home office space with some monitors, a great speaker/music recording setup, guitars/bass/amps. There is also a corner sofa bed incase of guests, and a great projector for movie nights.
The building has 4 large bathrooms (2 with bathtubs, 2 with showers) and a well equipment kitchen.
The location is in the Oberschoneweide warehouse district. 20 seconds walk to the Spree (with a dock, boats and good spots to take a morning coffee), there are also numerous artist studios, co-working spaces, and Kaos Berlin, which regularly hosts art markets, and other activities. RSO is a 2-minute walk away, Sisyphos 15 minutes via tram, plus some great bars and restaurants a short distance away. It's a great area, with lots of ammenties and lots going on. There is a Penny about 2 minutes walk away, and a Lidl is about 5.
In terms of transport connections, there is a bus that stops outside, trams 2 minutes away (with one that gets you into Boxi in 20 minutes), and two major S-bahn stations reachable in 5 minutes via bus/tram (S Schoneweide that connects to the Ring, Mitte and Berlin Airport, and S Karlhorst which connects to Mitte)
The room mates you will be sharing with are lovely people. A good mix of young and old, with people often sharing a meal or some beers. Most people work in creative industries. The building is massive enough and has thick enough walls to keep your personal space. I work from home, so quiet and privacy in the daytime is very important and the space works great for this.
There is a good mix of native German speakers, and some international people in the mix (myself included in the latter).
I look for somebody that's a good fit for the environment. It would be a great place for somebody looking for something more permanent (and there are always permanent rooms and spaces popping up in the area, so it's a good base).
