Hey,
I'm offering my spare room in my apartment for short term rents. It's quite flexible as I cannot offer Anmeldung (sorry!)
Its available through february. Can be a few nghts or a few weeks.
Maybe someone needs somewhere short term, or for studying a few months, praktikum etc etc. I'm open to everything.
The room is 10m2 and the whole apartment is around 75m2. There are two bedrooms, a big livingroom, kitchen, bathroom and quite a big hallway. There is also a nice big balcony over looking the Kanal. It's great in summer and very green and quiet.
The room has a single bed in at the moment, with some good storage underneath it, it can also be transformed into a double bed if desired. There is a small desk and some shelving too. You could also fit a small clothes rail in, which I'm happy to buy for the room.
The apartment is on Paul-Lincke-Ufer 1, which is a great location. It's down the quiet end with quick access to the Kanal., and very close to lots of nice cafes such as La Maison and Sorrel, plus tons of great wine bars, Kneipers and good food. It's by far my favourite neighberhood that I've lived in (and I've lived in many).
Hermannplatz (U7 & U8) is about a 10-14 minute walk. Schönleinstr. (U8) is about 8-10 mins walk. There are also bus stops within 5 minutes walk. It's usually best to get everywhere by bike though. If you prefer to use car sharing there is always parking directly before the apartment. If you have your own car I also have my own parking spot in the Hof.
I am Tom, I come from the UK originally and am 33 years old. I've been living in Berlin for 12 of those years and can also speak fluent German. I am very laid back and pretty quiet at home. I work full time and mostly in the office, although once in a while I will work from home. My party days are mostly behind me, and these days prefer wine bars or pubs in the evening. But I also spend a lot of time at home and cook often for myself/chill on the couch. I also love cycling and am often out doing that early in the morning or at the weekend.
I really like socialising but also find it exhausting, so often value the chill life in the apartment. Happy to drink wine together or cook/watch a film together, but also sometimes value my privacy. But I don't expect you to stay in your room, I'm happy for you to use the whole apartment and living room etc.
I would rather live with a woman as I prefer the balance of a mixed WG.
