say hello to your new home! - 20m2 cosy room in music loving wg :)

we're in Zehlendorf ! people say it’s amongst the top 4 most relaxed Kiez, really 💛 perfect for Freie Universität, pretty chill to reach any other uni / place in the city too.

S1 Zehlendorf train station is 7 min walk away and many buses (i.e. X10 for zoo; 101 for FU etc) are right next to our door ( can check when the next one coming from your window :D ). There's a Rewe, dm, Bio Company and a Lidl close-by, few backeries, pharmacy, printing place, yes yes falafel and pizza store, even a nice coffee! The bar situation is quite bad, mainly due to to the “over 80” neighborhood population... but it‘s always a possibility to go to a nice park or forest closeby. Schlachtensee (a super chill lake) is easy to get to . There is a basketball court 5 min away by walking and we have a basketball at home here 🏀.

It‘s around 30-40 min to most places within Berlin ring-bahn, reading books you get used to it and doesn‘t seem a lot. Still, think about this: the location of our wg, it‘s further than Neukölln etc. ! if you are ok with living in Zehlendorf, write it in your message to us 👊

It‘s pretty much laissez faire with our home, we all pretty much friends, friends of friends.... We‘d like to create a cool space to live in, to party, to be creative in, to chiiiiiil!

Be a family, have tea together, visit each others rooms, play games, sometimes cook for each other you know. If you come live here, you are free to have your friends over any time, family visiting, play your music.

For sure, we try our best to keep our home clean, so it‘s not a huge mess. Besides cleaning, feel free to join in improving the space, add more posters from the streets, we can work on the living room becoming full of life, maybe a hammock for it.. Once you here, you are equal as we all, so let's continue building our home base 🏠🌻

Cooking
we like to cook, often vegetarian or vegan cuisine, and share our food. As for ingredients, we share spices, tea, cocoa, coffee, pasta, rice, potatoes, onions, oils, sauces and many veggies, many things actually! You also will have some space for your own ingredients and foods, don‘t worry! There‘s a fridge and freezer, we have most pots & pans & plates & cups, but some more is always good when someone is moving in! sometimes we have a meal together on the big table in the living room. We love tea.

Music
We listen and play to a lot: psy, afrobeats, jazz, tango, dub, rap, drums, guitars, d&b, dubstep, lo-fi, rnb, classical, blues... We have some ukuleles, an out of tune piano, with which you may practise :) Ocasionally, we throw a party (it‘s not so often that it happens, but we are not against it!). For going out too, we have a good idea of where to go for great jazz, kitkat a month, maybe, for psytrance, best afrobeats in town, dnb, even techno!, nice cosy locations all across city, so feel free to come dance together 🕺 💃.

Games & Explorations
We have a few good games stored in the living room (i.e. explodin kittens, citadels), so you can pick up and play with your friends, who come over! We enjoy some uno, cards in someones room and in spring with warmer weather it will be time for urbex & geocatching! Let‘s go for an adventure and explore, in the spring and summer, maybe some good festivals together??

Hi, I am Mo. :) I am 18, German/Taiwasene and about to start my first year as a psychology student at FU. I love singing and playing the ukulele! Also play dungeons & dragons in my free time and would love to try martial arts soon. Hope to welcome you to our WG soon!

I‘m Falk, 21 and I‘m studying ecology and environmental planification at TU. I‘m interested in politics, music blablabla. I play the guitar, one song on the piano and would love to keep on playing the drums..! if you won‘t put away your dishes after some days, I‘ll be the person telling you to do so haha. We‘re looking forward to get to know you :). I'm also up to watch some football in a bar and play basketball in the summer. If you want to corrupt us, just bring some plants. Just kiddin 😉 but we all love having a lot of plants in the flat.

I‘m Felix, 24, studying supramolecular chemistry at FU. I enjoy going to acrobatic movement training, I like tea, anime and want to find a place to dance tango in the city. Love music, learning more about cooking. In summer I hitchhike a lot, want to go to Prague this spring! I like urban exploring, want to discover more of all sides of berlin. Let‘s play some games together. I come from Lithuania, so just started to learn a bit more german, sorry! ^^

Hey hey my name is Monty, I am 21 and live since 3 months in the WG. You will meet me mostly in the kitchen and if you need any cooking tips you can always ask me 😊 If you are a conscious, open and tolerant person we will get along!

we all quite into music so we'd be happy about someone with a similar spirit, hopefully someone who will become our friend, will contribute to build a jungle and decorate our home to be more cosy!
