Hello,

My name is Valeria and I'll be 23 next month. I'm no longer a student, but I studied German and international relations for my bachelor's and linguistics for my master's. I'm looking to move to Berlin in July (long-term) to start working as a data scientist. I am a Colombian-American who grew up in Miami. I have also lived in NYC, Amsterdam. I currently live in Munich and am finishing up a year-long program as an English teaching assistant at a gymnasium. I speak English and Spanish natively, but I also speak some Italian, German, and Dutch.

During my time in Munich, I have filled up my time with monthly hikes, daily workouts (HIIT, jogging, and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu), exploring cafes (I am a huge specialty coffee lover), going to museums (my favorite is Deutsches Museum, the biggest science and technology museum in the world), taking photos with my film camera, playing my bass guitar, and just hanging out with friends. My passions include linguistics and language learning, music, sports (especially volleyball and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu), analog photography, nature/animals, and getting to know new people and places. My greatest passions have to be music, food, and meeting new people. I am vegetarian and enjoy cooking regularly. I’m quite social but also love my me-time of course.

Besides working, my weekly routine will include regular cooking (vegan/vegetarian), working out, playing sports, and spending time outside with my friends. On weekends, you’ll usually find me doing something relatively chill - spending time in the nature, hanging out at a cafes, meeting up with friends at the bar, visiting museums, going to concerts, or being physically active. I love going out to clubs but I only do it occasionally since I'm not the type to party every weekend. I am a very open minded person and I love to be spontaneous; I'm always down to check out new places and try new things.

I’m looking for a room in a shared apartment with friendly roommates who enjoy occasionally spending time together (ex. Cooking, watching movies, bonding over music, or just having good conversations) and are relatively tidy (most important is the bathroom and kitchen). Most importantly I would love a warm environment where everyone gets along well with each other, and knows how to communicate in a direct and open way. I love animals so pets are no problem. My ideal apartment would be with 3-5 roommates with an open-ended contract (starting July) and possibility for registration as I am staying in Berlin long-term.
