From the beginning of November, a room will be available in our shared flat.
The room is about 14.5 m² with large windows facing the courtyard. There is no direct sunlight, which makes it the coolest room in the apartment in summer; a big plus on hot days!
The rent includes all costs (electricity, water, internet...).
The takeover of the furniture seen in the pictures (except for the desk and the small coffee table) is possible/desirable for about 300€ (negotiable). The bed and the closet were bought new when I moved in (about 2 years ago), and the other furniture is also in very good condition.
Our WG consists of 3 rooms, so there is no living room. But we have a nice spacious kitchen and a balcony to the inner courtyard, where a car or bicycle could be parked. Furthermore, there are two bathrooms, a small bathroom and a large one, connected by a hallway.
Extra storage space is available in the basement. Our washing machine is located upstairs, in the attic, where the laundry can be hung up to dry.
The apartment is located directly at the beautiful cherry blossom avenue, which is definitely worth a look in spring, on the border between the old town and Castell. We live very centrally and can reach the city centre and the main train station within 15 minutes by foot. The connection to the public transportation (buses 633, 550 and the tram line 61) stops right in front of the house, 2 minutes walking.
In terms of supermarkets, we have a free choice: you can get to Aldi and Netto within 1 minute of walking. And Rewe can be reached within 5 minutes. Also, in terms of dining options, such as restaurants and cafes, are unlimited, since the old town (Alt Stadt) is right next door, as well as unlimited bars. Another big plus is that the Rhine is also within 10 minutes walking distance.
Your possible flatmates are Jamila and Gustavo.
Jamila is Italian, is working on her thesis and has a part-time job. Gustavo comes from El Salvador, but has been living in Germany for more than 8 years now. Normally, English is spoken in the WG, but if one misses the words, German, Spanish or Italian are more than welcome. Both are sociable flatmates, who like to chat in the kitchen or do something together outside. It would be great if you would also like to do something together sometimes.
An extremely important point for us would be that you are neat, clean after yourself and actively participate in the household responsibilities.
We would be happy to get to know you and are looking forward to your message. Please write an introduction about yourself, who you are, what you do, interests, hobbies, and most importantly, if you have had experiences in WGs before. That way, we will be facilitated in choosing who will come to the interviews.
Please write to me directly (Jamila) if you prefer to be invited online or in person so we can get to know each other. Online meetings are fine, although face-to-face might be preferred.
