---------------
My current roommate is moving in with his partner and a former roommate would move in again but is still stuck in his apprenticeship outside of Darmstadt until October, so I would like to bridge this time as a temporary tenant. Depending on your needs, we can also talk about moving out a month earlier or later.
The room is approx. 20 m^2 and has a window facing a quite busy street. The windows in the apartment are very good, so that you hardly notice anything when the window is closed. My current roommate would leave his bed there if interested. Otherwise the room is not furnished.
The WG is in one of the renovated houses of the Buxbaum-Anlage in the Rhönring in the Martinsviertel. It is only a few meters to the bus stop Am Karlshof (lines H and K) in the direction of the city center (approx. 10 minutes to Luisenplatz). Behind the house is a small lawn where you can have a barbecue with friends in summer, for example. A few meters away is the Bügerpark with a wide range of public sports facilities (football, basketball, volleyball, running track, skate plaza, BMX park, multi-gym and the swimming pool). There are several bakeries nearby, as well as supermarkets. In addition, there is always a small weekly market in the district on Wednesdays. A few bars and restaurants can also be reached on foot in a few minutes.
I previously studied chemistry and now work as a software developer, usually in home office. That means I'm at home most of the time and would really like to be able to work during the day. That doesn't mean that you have to sit in your room without any sound, but it would be nice if you could still work. I like to cook a little something for lunch and usually enough for everyone who is in the apartment and wants to eat. However, this is not an obligation! I'm not vegan or vegetarian myself, but we can talk about your needs in that direction. I've been living in flat shares (mixed sexes) for over 10 years now and so far everything has always worked out quite well (regardless of whether it's cleaning, toilet routine, different stages of life, etc.).
There is lively contact with the flat share in the stairwell across the hallway and other people are there from time to time. My partner is also a frequent visitor.
I myself spend a lot of time in subcultural contexts and can often be found at concerts (also as organizer) or something similar. I like to cook and like to have company around me, but I also need my retreat from time to time and if you need it that is of course possible and it will be taken into account.
I myself got the feedback to be quite uncomplicated. I only value careful handling of any kitchen appliances, but I'll tell you all about that.
I'm looking for a relaxed roommate who needs a room to transition into and who may already have some experience in shared flats.
In my free time, I myself am active at the Oetinger Villa youth culture center just around the corner and what applies there should also apply to living together. No desire for nationalism, racism, anti-Semitism, sexism or homophobia.
I'm looking forward to your message with some information about you, you could help me to find out if it could be a good fit for us.
Please get in touch directly with your telephone number, this often makes short-term contact easier.
