The apartment is on the 3rd floor of an old building in the beautiful city block called Westend. The apartment, particularly the kitchen and bathroom, were recently renovated.
The room is fully furnished and has a 1.40m bed, a chest of drawers, a night drawer by the bed, a desk, a chair, and plants. The room is decorated, and the computer monitor will be available as well as the alarm clock and night lamp.
The kitchen, the bathroom, the walk-in closet and the living room are for common use. You will have plenty of space in the chest drawer but also in the walk-in closet to store your personal belongings. I will also provide clean towels and bed sheets.
The living room is big and fully furnished. It has a big couch, two armchairs, a small table, two lamps, a dining table, six chairs, and a wooden wine rack. And lots of board games. The living room has a stunning view overlooking the beautiful neighborhood of Westend.
The kitchen is fully furnished and has an electric stove, oven, blender, rice cooker, and various cabinets. There is a dishwasher, refrigerator, and washing machine. Dishes and all kind of kitchen utensils are also available. There is a wooden kitchen table with four chairs.
The bathroom has a shower cabin, a sink, a toilet, and a bathtub. There is plenty of room to store hygiene products.
The apartment’s location is close to unbeatable. Westend is a gorgeous district in Frankfurt very close to the city center. Alte Oper and Opernplatz are only 10 min away by foot, and Hauptwache, 16 min. The neighborhood is tranquil and peaceful, clean, with good infrastructure, and parks. It is mostly a residential area with businesses and restaurants in the main avenues.
Transportation: Our shared flat is located 3 minutes away from the Grueneburgweg U Bahn station. The U1, 2, 3 and 8 run through this station, going north or taking you south to Hauptwache, Willy-Brandt and Hauptbahnhof. Walking down to Alte Oper, you can take the U6 and 7 at Opernplatz station toward the west (Bockenheim) or east (Ostend) of the city. The Taunusanlage S-Bahn station is 13 min. away by foot, from which you can take the S-Bachn either west or east. From this very central location the whole inner-city is reachable with a bike ride of under 15 min.
Food and commerce: In the proximity of the shared flat you can find everything you need - supermarkets (Rewe, Penny, Biomarkt), dry cleaners, bakery, hairdressers, stores and cafes.
Parks: The shared flat is within walking distance of Grueneburgpark, a large and beautiful park in Frankfurt. It is a great place for walks, exercise, and leisure alone or with friends.
University proximity: The Goethe University Campus Westend is just a few minutes away by foot. The Frankfurt School of Finance and Management is just a couple U-Bahn stations from Grueneburgweg station away plus a 5 min walk down Adickesalle.
Jonas and I have been sharing the apartment since early this year and have really enjoyed the perks of the apartment and its location. We are both open-minded, social, tidy, and respectful, and pursue to do well in work and have a good time. We have friends over somewhat regularly but are mindful about giving each other privacy. We talk things openly and have a blast doing life together. He is 26 and I am 28.
I am spending an extended time back home (Mexico) and figured it would be better to offer the empty room for this time given Frankfurt’s highly demanded housing market. This room is ideal for someone new to the city who is looking to settle for the medium-term and hasn’t found yet a longer-term place to stay.
The room is available from August 17th to September 30th. I am looking for someone who would stay at least 20 days. The price per day is 25 euros and a deposit of 700 euros is required, which will be paid back once the stay is over.
I wrote in English to reach out to all kinds of people, but feel free to communicate with me in English, German, or Spanish. I look forward to your message / text!
