Hey there!
I am subletting my room for 6 weeks and instead will be living at my partner’s place as I want the opportunity to live alone. Feel free to reach out in German if that is more comfortable for you.
The house beautiful, comfortable, and a true gift! I hope I can convince you that even if its only for a short time, you will not regret having lived in such a beautiful house.
The room is on the first floor with direct access to the balcony. In the room there is a high bed (140x200) with storage room underneath. There is a desk and other furniture where I store my things. Since it is only 6 weeks, I would like to leave many things in the room. Bringing or storing large furniture will not be possible. I would happily make space for you in the cabinets and drawers and hanger. The balcony is 1m wide and the length of the house. My room and the next room have direct access to the balcony which has a couch/bed outside.
My room shares a wall with the neighbor's children, so loud music with bass after 8pm is not recommended...
We are in the Solarsiedlung on the Lorettoberg-side of Merzhauserstrasse. The tram station (Paula Modersohnplatz) is 2 minutes away by foot and bike racks outside for the shops, which we use without any issue. The entrance is from the parking lot but there's usually no issue getting in or out. Car parking is possible in the neighborhood but in Vauban they don't make it easy
Garden: We have a small and half-maintained garden with a small shed for storage. We planted flowers, carrots and salad in pots outside. Would be nice if you have the motivation to water these gratitude-bringers.
Shopping: DM, Alnatura, REWE, Aldi, an Apotheke, and Heizman bakery are all nearby. The weekly market is on Wednesday afternoon in Vauban next to Restaurant Süden.
We are a 5-Person shared flat of mostly professionals.
Mathis (29 - Social Worker) and Josephin (27 - Teacher) share the upstairs room. They are friendly and fun, but prefer downtime on workdays.
Emre (28), originally from Istanbul, is the most enthusiastic person you'll ever meet. He enjoys company with others and is a breathwork instructor. He is passionate about good food, health and sports, and the environment. He is currently on the search for inspiring work!
Leo (28 - Student, social work) is friendly but often very busy. When you catch her, at home she is very sweet and easy to talk. She is a dancer and enjoys being with friends.
Me - Anthony (32). I am a project manager and passionate about sustainability. I enjoy sports and cooking, hence the full kitchen...
**Leo and Emre are both subletters for our "permanent" roommates who are traveling until end of May/early June. You may encounter that these two leave and Mike and Julia move back in.
We share many things but not everything. Fortunately we have the space for the resulting overlap. We have a system in which items in certain areas are for everyone, while everyone also has private space in the cupboard and refrigerator. Toilet paper and cleaning supplies are obviously shared. For the 6 weeks, you can decide how you want to share by consulting with the others.
For the 6 weeks the total rent is €690.00 + 20.00 as a Puffer and to cover the costs of future water and electricity. A one-month Kaution is requested. Exact move-in/-out dates can be negotiated in person.
We are very open and finding a fitting person with whom all are comfortable is important for us.
Oh yeah, we have two very fluffy cats: Bente & Anouch.
Thanks! :)
Anthony
