Wunderschönes helles Zimmer in der tollsten WG

Die Lage der Wohnung ist top! Wir wohnen ziemlich direkt am Theaterplatz beim Deutschen Theater, also direkt am Wall und der Innenstadt. Eine Bushaltestelle ist quasi vor der Tür. Zu Fuß ist man in 10 Minuten an der Uni, den nächsten Supermärkten und den Schillerwiesen.

The location of the flat is great! We live pretty much directly on Theaterplatz by the Deutsches Theater, so right next to the Wall and the city centre. There's a bus stop right outside the door. It's a 10-minute walk to the university, the nearest supermarkets and the Schillerwiesen.

In der WG leben derzeit Rebecca, Lea und Drew:

Hi, ich heiße Rebecca und studiere Kulturanthropologie und Allgemeine Sprachwissenschaft an der Uni Göttingen. Zusätzlich habe ich vor kurzem ein Volontariat beim Göttinger Literaturherbst begonnen. Wenn ich nicht mit Uni oder Arbeit beschäftigt bin, schaue ich gerne Serien oder Filme oder gehe mit Freund*innen in Cafés oder Bars. Außerdem spiele ich ganz gerne sowohl Computer- als auch Brettspiele. Manchmal überkommt mich auch die Lust zu backen. Das Ergebnis teile ich dann natürlich mit meinen Mitbewohner*innen!

Hey I'm Drew, I'm the english speaker in the flat 😅. Most of the time I'm running around for work, but when I'm home I spend my time picking up new skills, learning about random topics or taking it easy by doing something creative be it painting or digital :)

Unser WG-Leben ist sehr entspannt und harmonisch. Wir verbringen gerne Zeit miteinander, somit solltest du kein Interesse an einer Zweck-WG haben. Wir sitzen öfters zusammen in der Küche, quatschen, essen zusammen und spielen ab und zu Karten oder andere Spiele. Im Sommer kann man wunderbar Zeit auf der Terrasse verbringen und z.B. grillen. Abends wird auch mal gerne ein Weinchen in gemütlicher Runde getrunken. Wenn es in Göttingen Mal wieder eine Demo gegen Rechts oder für feministische Belange gibt, sind wir häufig auch dabei! Ansonsten legen wir Wert auf ein gewisses Maß an Ordnung und Sauberkeit.
Da Drew (noch) kein Deutsch spricht, solltest du kein Problem damit haben zu Hause auch Englisch zu sprechen.

Hi, my name is Rebecca and I'm studying Cultural Anthropology and General Linguistics at the University of Göttingen. I also recently started a traineeship at the Göttinger Literaturherbst. When I'm not busy with university or work, I like to watch series or films or go to cafés or bars with friends. I also enjoy playing computer and board games. Sometimes I also get the urge to bake. Our shared flat life is very relaxed and harmonious. We enjoy spending time together, so you shouldn't be interested in a functional flat share. We often sit together in the kitchen, chat, eat together and occasionally play cards or other games. In summer, it's great to spend time on the balcony and have a barbecue, for example. In the evening, we also like to enjoy a glass of wine in a cosy atmosphere. Whenever there's a demonstration in Göttingen against the right or in favour of feminist causes, we're often there too! Otherwise, we emphasise a certain degree of order and cleanliness.
As Drew doesn't speak German (yet), you should have no problem speaking English at home.

Seit ein paar Monaten sind wir eine Pflegestelle für den Katzenschutz. Momentan lebt die kleine Katze Cleo bei uns. Sie wird allerdings bald vermittelt und ist bei deinem Einzug eventuell schon nicht mehr da. Wir können uns aber gut vorstellen bei Bedarf wieder eine Katze oder einen Kater in Not für eine Weile bei uns aufzunehmen, bis sich ein permanentes Zuhause findet. Falls du bei uns einziehst, solltest du also prinzipiell bereit sein mit uns zusammen eine Katze zu beherbergen :)

We have been a foster home for cat protection for a few months now. The little cat Cleo is currently living with us. However, she will soon be rehomed and may no longer be here when you move in. However, we can well imagine taking in another cat in need for a while until a permanent home can be found. So if you move in with us, you should in principle be prepared to care of a cat with us :)
