WG-Leben
The room is 30 square meters! It is also very luminous thanks to two double windows, it has wood floors, and near the door there are two beautiful wooden colums that can also be used as a room separator.
The room is fully furnished with a bed, dresser, sofa, a desk with an office chair, table, and a rack for shoes. The furniture can be kept for 300 Euros. We can also negotiate fair prices for one or more individual items should you not want to take all of them.
The apartment is big and modern, while its old charm is not lost thanks to the high ceilings and the woodwork. The kitchen offers much space for cooking, a dishwasher and a washing machine, and a table and comfortable sofa that will be appreciated also by your friends to eat, drink, talk, and celebrate our community.
Thanks to the 2 bathrooms (one toilet, one shower, and a big one with toilet and bath/shower) it is easy not to bother each other also when you are hosting guests. The big „edge-bathtub“ in the big bathroom is a highlight.
The kitchen and bathrooms are furnished by the leaser, who pays replacements if needed. Still, we invested privately in a big fridge recently, which is very useful to have. Last but not least, we have invested in the past year to decorate the apartment. Have a look at the pictures!
The „warm“ room (as Germans say) costs 535 Euros.
The location could not be better. You will be at the center of the center of Göttingen – the so-called „Nabel“ – just downstairs you will find everything. Numerous bars, cafés, and shopping options are within close reach by foot. The nearest supermarket (REWE at Prinzenstraße) is a mere 50 meters away and is open until midnight everyday. Only on Sunday the hours are limited (10-13h). By foot, the famous Gänseliesel (where also the Christmas market is) is about 2 min away, the main University campus about 5 min, and the train station about 10 min.
No worries, you will still find your calm. Thanks to double windows in all rooms, you can barely hear the street even when it is crowded. At night it is usually very quite. Occasionally you may hear a street musician and a protest march during the day. The city lives, and you can be in the midst of it!
You'll be living with Fadhel and Renato. Here is a little bit about them:
Fadhel
I’m a PhD student in auditory neuroscience and passionate about the way we hear – artificially or naturally! I am myself a bionic man wearing a cochlear implant, and while I’m not T-800 I have plenty of funny stories and moments to tell you about my experience. I also enjoy playing the piano (not Beethoven level yet, pun intended) and I am a huge fan of basketball! From time to time, I like to host movie nights and share my TV/couch setup 😊 This flat is a place of intercultural exchange and I am very proud to bring my Tunisian-Syrian origins with my Swiss nationality to the rich experience of our living cocoon. I hope I can impress you with my multicultural cooking skills (Fondues one day and couscous another). I can’t wait to meet you and learn from you!

We sometimes discuss politics. We are open-minded and like to learn from each other. We appreciate, tolerate, and respect all political opinions as long as they also tolerate and respect the humanity of others. Racist or sexist or anti-democratic viewpoints and the like are not welcome.
Note also that we are vaccinated against COVID. We expect you to take COVID seriously and take the necessary precautions, both as someone looking at our WG and as our future roomie.
