Your future room is about 25 square meters and will be available from 01/04 (with some flexibility at the latest from 1st of May), since our roommate Moritz will be finishing his bachelor degree and will be moving away from Göttingen. The room is very spacious and has a couple of large west-facing windows. The room also has very thick walls which is ideal if you like staying up late.
Furthermore, we have a spacious hallway, which offers space for shoes and coat racks. The beautiful and large kitchen also allows cozy WG evenings and extensive cooking sessions. The bathroom may not impress with its beauty, but it is quite large and has everything you need, even a bathtub.
The apartment is located in Lotzestraße at the beginning of the South-City and is therefore very central, but still super quiet. GänseLiesel (Innenstadt) is within 5 mins reach by foot. Within 10 minutes you can walk to several supermarkets (Kaufland, Rewe and Alnatura), in only 15 minutes you are at the beautiful Kiessee. A bus stop is right around the corner and the Z-Campus is also less than 10 minutes away by bike!
Currently living in the WG are ilango (28) and I, Fadi (26). ilango is finishing his masters degree in Literature and Philosophy, and I finished my masters in Electrical Engineering in 2021 and am debating whether to continue working or start my PhD. ilango comes from the US and has been living in Germany for over a year, and I come from Palestine and have been living in Germany for over four years. We both spend a lot of our free time with friends or significant others, but regularly we go bouldering together or spontaneously play games or go out for drinks.
Our WG has been very chill so far, we get our alone time when we need it but often find ourselves socializing in the big kitchen. The main language of the WG is English. I speak good German, and ilango insists that he can speak Spanish (and he has reached A2 German proficiency).
The rent is 510€ which contains the rent, utilities, internet, electricity and heating, and the radio/TV tax. The deposit is 990€!
Moritz is planning to sell one of his couches, so if there is interest this can be talked about. Moreover, the fridge belongs to Moritz so we would have to buy it from him together, so each of us three has to pay 50€ for it.
