Your room is small and cozy. It is furnished with a bed (120x200 cm) with a bedside table, a desk, deskchair and magnet wall, a shelf and two storage containers. There is no extra cupboard for clothes in the room, because in the apartment there is a separate room with a built-in cupboard with plenty of storage space.
The large window faces towards the south-east (like the entire apartment), so you get a lot of sun especially in the afternoon. Additionally, you have a view of Schlossberg. The room itself has only a surface of about 10 m2, however the kitchen is big and cozy, and the highlight of the apartment is the veeery large living room. Furthermore, in spring and summer you can hang out on the two balconies – as you can see, there is enough space 😊
The entire flat has a surface area of about 100 m2, not including the two balconies. The bedrooms are relatively small, however the kitchen and living room are spacious and cozy, including large dining tables, a huge couch and a projector for watching movies. The flat has a dishwasher and a washing machine, the bathroom and toilet are separate. There are multiple elevators, and you have access to the rooftop (25th floor). Furthermore, there are multiple free car parking spots in front of the building for the inhabitants, however those are “first come first serve”.
The location is perfect for students: The flat is on the 3rd floor of the so-called “Elisabethhochhaus” in the middle of the university quarter. The Karl-Franzens-University / Uni Graz is only 5 minutes by foot away. You can also comfortably reach the University of Music and Performing Arts by foot, and to get to the Technical or Medical University, it takes about 10 minutes by bike. Just around the corner are the Zinzendorfgasse and University Campus with its countless cafés, restaurants, bars and clubs or shops, and access to public transportation. To get to the city center, it also doesn’t take longer than 5-10 minutes by bike.
Another highlight: This building is by far the highest in the surrounding area, so it’s safe to say that from the rooftop, you can enjoy one of the best views over the city.
The room layout of the apartment is perfect for its sociable, comfortable apartment life. Your roommates Susi (23, student of psychology) and Sophia (23, student of English language) are looking forward to an open-minded 3rd roommate, who enjoys cooking, going to the farmers market and occasionally sharing a drink just as much as they do. Of course everyone is considerate if someone needs some privacy or a calm atmosphere to study. Overall, we enjoy having a shared and sociable apartment life together.
Extra bonus for Erasmus students: Susi and Sophia have been part of the mentor-buddy-program for exchange students of the Graz universities for many semesters. This is why you could also get to know other exchange students in this apartment. Moreover, your roommates can definitely help and support you in getting to know this city or if you have any questions or problems 😊
Don't worry, all my stuff in the bedroom pictures will be gone, except for the furniture. If you want to, you can have my pillow, blanket and bedsheets for the semester. Also, if you like plants, I can also leave them in the room for the semester ;)
The moving out date is flexible, since I will probably be returning in mid-July.
Please feel free to contact me in German or English! I chose English for the ad because it might be easier for Erasmus students.
Bitte kontaktiert mich gerne auf Deutsch oder Englisch! Ich habe die Anzeige auf Englisch geschrieben, weil es für Erasmus-Student*innen leichter sein könnte.
