Dear new flatmate,
from the 1st of November on, one of the rooms in our shared flat is going to be vacant for renting. The room is about 13 meter square and directly connected to a wonderful small balcony facing to the east. I loved to go out having a coffee in the morning or hanging out with friends in the evening. The room was furnished by the owner with a desk, bed and a small book shelf. You can ask the owner to un-furnish the room, however, the bed (see pictures) would have to be deconstructed by you.
The flat is located between Sternschanze and Christuskirche. The flat contains three rooms (including yours), all with high ceilings and wooden floors. Bathroom and toilet are separated which gives a little flexibility for daily routines. The kitchen, big enough for 2 people to cook at a time, is our communal space with a spacious table. There is also a tiny cubby to store tools and other smaller things but don't get too excited it's really small. There is a court behind the house with a bike shed and there are parking lots in front of the building that can be used for "Anwohnerparken" in case you have a car.
The neighbourhood of the Vereinsstraße has a lot to offer. The whole area is stuffed with restaurants, cafes, bakeries, bars, pubs and wee shops. All of these things are giving the neighbourhood a fairly vibrant yet calm atmosphere, which makes one wanting to spend the whole day here. If you want to leave you'll have the U2, U3 and S-Sternschanze nearby. Also you have the Lindenpark right around the corner and the whole Kaiser-Friedrich-Ufer canal park area which is fairly nice to go to if you have a craving for some green areas. :)
For food shopping, you'll find a few vegetable vendors in the neighbouring streets and Rewe, Penny, Edeka or Denn's within 5 minute walking distance.
You will be living with Gigi and Felix. Both are in a full time occupation and partially work from at home. Ideally you are working full time as well and plan to live in the apartment for a year or longer. The area is just perfect to go out for coffee or drinks together, partying or just hanging out in a nearby park. So far we've usually grown friends over the years, hence, we're looking for a person who really fits in and as we said is not about to leave the flat too soon again.

The official date for the start of the contract will be Nov. 1st, depending on a few things we might be able to arrange the actual move a few days before or after, but we can of course discuss everything in person.
