Ph.D. student looking for a room in a shared flat from April to August 2020

I am a researcher and Ph.D. student in the field of ecological economics from Berlin, Germany, spending the summer term from April to August 2020 at Aalto university in Espoo at the Department of Design working on time wealth and sustainable consumption and hopefully finishing my final research paper for my Ph.D.

I am 34 years old and lived about ten years in shared flats until I moved together with my girlfriend three years ago. During these ten years I lived as well in political communities with shared cash, dumpster diving, functional living and spared rooms for refugees as also in "normal" flats with couples or singles with children as well as with students or employees. For my time in Helsinki I am looking for a cosy flat with interesting and interested flat mates. I like chatting in the kitchen, playing board games and I am open for any common activities but from time to time I also enjoy spending time with myself. I do not care so much about warm meals but I love making a good breakfast or a salad in the evening for everyone.

During my free time I am practicing ashtanga yoga and attend several reading groups. I love arthouse cinemas and good tiny concerts. I am politically active in the Degrowth movement and doing a lot of political education work during my free time. Because it will be my first time to Finland I am also looking forward to get to know the country and the whole region.

I look forward getting to know you and sharing some time, ideas and emotions during our common summer. Since I will also be on holiday during my stay in Finland, it would also be fine for me if the room were only available for part of the period.
