Heya! We have two wonderful rooms available in our shared flat:
The first room is on the lower floor of our two-storey shared flat. The kitchen and bathroom are right next door and the living room is also right next door. It has a beautiful window cross with 4 windows and a large window sill that can serve as a cosy seating area or as a habitat for houseplants. It is 16 sqm and rent for this room is 280 euros per month.
The second room is opposite the first. It is one of the brightest rooms in our flat-share because of its three large windows and south-west orientation. It also has large windowsills and the wardrobe and chest of drawers can be taken over from the previous tenant. With its 18 square metres, the room is the second largest in our flat. The rent is 300 euros and the deposit is 370 euros, the same as for the first room.
Our shared flat is on the first floor of the Kornspeicher, one of five buildings on the Luhrmannhof. There are 47 students living in a total of 9 flatshares.
Until this year, the Luhrmannhof was a dormitory run by the Studentenwerk, but as of next month, we will be self-governing, so that the residence is now also open to students. This means that we now have lots of opportunities to shape our life together and to try things out for ourselves!
You can get involved in many different areas, depending on what you are interested in or where you feel like learning. From the chicken club and garden crew, to party planning and public relations, to the FairRentingTeam and SustainabilityTeam. As different as the roles are that we need to maintain this place, we are also looking forward to what you bring to the table.
In parallel, we are expanding and building many things here, from the awareness concept to music/rehearsal space, workshop and farm shop. Creativity is always welcome.
You can experience community here, relax on the lawn or in the hammock, enjoy gardening, sit around the campfire and gaze at the starry sky.
We really appreciate the location of the farm, which can be reached in 20 minutes by bike from the city/university, and when you get up, it gives you the feeling of being far away in nature. Various supermarkets can be reached in 5 minutes by bike.
We are a freshly thrown together group of people who are very keen on living on the farm and in a shared flat. We enjoy spontaneity and it is important to us that everyone feels comfortable in our shared apartment. And we would like to continue creating that with you: A place where people can be who they are and where we can lean back and simply feel at home😊 We love cooking and especially eating and have a cooperation with a SoLaWi, which supplies us with the best vegetables. We also like to do sport in the flat-sharing community. Each of us does a different kind: football, boxing, yoga, bouldering, acro yoga, table tennis... We also welcome people who play music, and we could imagine playing music together!
As we are just getting together as a flat-sharing community, you will have plenty of opportunity to help shape our future flat-sharing life from the ground up and contribute the ideas and activities that you really want to do!
Briefly about the three of us:
Felix (24, Cognitive Science). My studies are slowly but surely coming to an end, so fortunately I now have a lot of time for other things in life. I like to spend this time acting, doing sports (jogging, bouldering, hiking...) or playing music (I play the guitar and am learning the piano). During longer periods of free time, I love to travel or go on longer hikes. In general, I like to spend my time in nature and over the years I have also gained some wilderness knowledge. In the future, I would like to get more involved with cooking, gardening, dance and mindfulness. As far as flat-sharing life goes, I'm:
a big fan of evening kitchen chats, easy to get excited about projects, ventures and everyday adventures, and always up for a hug.
Malina (20, nutritional science). I've been living in Osnabrück for just under half a year now, so I'm still a bit in the process of arriving and exploring. I'm currently in my second semester of my degree course and, in keeping with the subject matter, I also love to spend my free time learning about nutrition and cooking😋 Of course, my favourite thing is to spend time with people and/or listening to good music. Apart from that, I really enjoy being active in sports in my free time (football, hiking, volleyball,...) and I also really enjoy spending time in nature.
During my FÖJ last year, I noticed that I find life in a community a really exciting field of learning, which I would like to explore more closely, and that's how I ended up at Luhrmannhof :-)
Saskia (29, social work). I am relatively easy to get excited about, love spontaneity, trying out new things and strengthening each other. Working in a forest kindergarten and at an active school has enriched me a lot; but I have also dived into yoga and am currently putting it and other sports back into my focus. I always like to learn and participate in social projects such as the clinic clowns. These in turn have awakened in me the desire to hopefully soon act out a bit in improv theatre or similar. In the past few years, I have focused more on the question of how a strengthening togetherness can look in practice. Free dance, meditation, hammock and nature let me breathe deeply, enjoy and switch off.
