Temporary: Small, calm room in lovely FLINTA*-flat with a lot of common space

The apartment is very well connected: suburban railway station Bhf. Meidling, U6, and tram 62, Badnerbahn, and bus 59A are all max. 5 minutes away. It takes only 15 min with the bike into the city center. All possible shopping possibilities (supermarkets and the Meidlinger market) are within walking distance.

Just across the street, you can find a craft beer store and a lovely winery where we also sometimes go to have a drink and collect our veggies delivered by Paradeisa. We also have an amazing pizzeria just around the corner!

Green spots nearby: Wienerberg park, Schönbrunn park, Auer-Welsbach park.

About us:

Theresa (30, she/ her) has lived in the flat for a year now and is very happy to have landed here after many changes of living-places. She likes common moments but is also enjoying having her private space. She is working with music, leading choirs, giving piano lessons, teaching at a school and creating her own music. She likes having a swim at a public pool in winter or at Neue Donau in summer, drinks tea a lot, and will maybe start baking bread again soon.

Luce (28, she/her) moved in in October 2022 and is studying Development Studies. She likes to procrastinate by playing board games and cooking, but tries to control it and write her master thesis instead.

Sarah (34, she/her) has been calling this place home for six years now and wishes to live in an harmonious shared flat family, full of love, respect and also shared responsibilities. Sarah likes to cook and bake and eat vegan or veggie food, especially together with friends and is happy if someone is also looking after the sour dough and plants when she is visiting friends or family abroad. She is working part time at a ceramics studio and fills the rest of her time with pottering, singing in a choir, visiting the hamsters on a walk through Meidling cemetery as well as going on an occasional hike or similar adventures in the alps. From March on Sarah will do one year of Bildungskarenz. Thus, she is sub-renting her room to Mira.

Mira (30, she/her) will move in in beginning of March until end of July. She is an actress and acting teacher at the Max Reinhardt Seminar. She loves slow, calm mornings where she can let her thoughts drift. But also loves to cook together and have a chat over a tea.

Selana (25) was living in the room that is going to be free since a year. While feeling very much lucky about her flatmates and comfortable in her room, she is leaving now to live with her boyfriend.

Even though we may have different day rhythms we care about the common moments together. We are looking for someone with whom we can spend those moments pleasantly. We are honest to one another and we try our best to respect our individual needs and diversities. It is important to us that the chemistry is right! We would be happy to add another FLINTA* Person to our flat.

We have mostly quiet and nice neighbours and over the past years we've built up a caring house community with some of them. Now and then we meet for watching movies, a match of table tennis in a nearby park, doing some music, art or handicrafts, simply eating or celebrating holidays together.

We also started a gardening project together with some neighbours. One raised as well as one ground garden bed are located in a common garden just 2 walking minutes away. There we grow some organic veggies and herbs. You are very welcome to join!

The room is empty from now on and is available temporarily for about 6 to 8 months (until about Aug to Oct). From then on we would like to rent out this room together with Luce's room to one person. However, we are quite flexible and are happy to discuss the moving in and out dates with you.
