About the room:
The 25 sqm big and bright room can be reached by passing through our bathroom which makes it very secluded. Thanks to a clever curtain system showering and privacy as well as passing through are still possible anytime. All windows face south-east and are equipped with shading curtains so it is very bright and warm or dark and cool inside, however you prefer. It's also facing the street, but with windows closed it is very quiet.
About the apartment:
The spacious apartment is in a renovated old building with beautiful herringbone parquet flooring, four separate rooms, 4,5m high ceilings and a total of 114sqm. Next to the kitchen we have a cozy dining room with a couch and large table. This is where we sometimes meat, mostly unplanned, for eating or having a cup of tea together, talking about serious or less serious things, puzzling or (board)games etc.
We have one balcony that is commonly used. It is next to our dining room (facing north). Right now there are some old herbs and plants and a little bench. It is looking forward to your green thumb in spring. ;)
Further unbeatable extras of the flat are our spacious entrance area, the bike storage in the cellar and backyard, our new dishwasher, a washing machine and the spacious bathroom with shower AND bathtub as well as a separate toilet.
The apartment is very well connected: suburban railway station Bhf. Meidling, U6, and tram 62, Badnerbahn, and bus 59A are all max. 5 minutes away. It takes only 15 min with the bike into the city center. All possible shopping possibilities (supermarkets and the Meidlinger market) are within walking distance.
Just across the street, you can find a craft beer store and a lovely winery where we also sometimes go to have a drink and collect our veggies delivered by Paradeisa. We also have an amazing pizzeria just around the corner!
Green spots nearby: Wienerberg park, Schönbrunn park, Auer-Welsbach park.
About us:
Sarah (34, she/her) who is usually living in the offered room is doing one year of Bildungskarenz from March on. She is going to spend half of it traveling. The room will be free from 26 February until August/September. We can discuss exact moving in and out dates.

Theresa (30, she/ her) has lived in the flat for a year now and is very happy to have landed here after many changes of living-places. She likes common moments but is also enjoying having her private space. She is working with music, leading choirs, giving piano lessons, teaching at a school and creating her own music. She likes having a swim at a public pool in winter or at Neue Donau in summer, drinks tea a lot, and will maybe start baking bread again soon.
Luce (28, she/her) moved in in October 2022 and is studying Development Studies. She likes to procrastinate by playing board games and cooking, but tries to control it and write her master thesis instead.
Even though we may have different day rhythms we care about the common moments together. We are looking for someone with whom we can spend those moments pleasantly. We are honest to one another and we try our best to respect our individual needs and diversities. It is important to us that the chemistry is right!
We would be happy to add another FLINTA* Person to our flat.
We have mostly quiet and nice neighbours and over the past years we've built up a caring house community with some of them. Now and then we meet for watching movies, a match of table tennis in a nearby park, doing some music, art or handicrafts, simply eating or celebrating holidays together.
We also started a gardening project together with some neighbours. One raised as well as one ground garden bed are located in a common garden just 2 walking minutes away where we grow some organic veggies and herbs. You are very welcome to join!
The room will be empty from the beginning of March until August/September, but we are happy to discuss the moving in and out dates. Earliest moving in would be 26 February.
It is fully furnished with things like a bed, desk and chair, one big wardrobe, two shelves, a couch, a smaller wardrobe and some plants to take care of. :) The deposit is 500 Euros.
The costs for the utilities are estimates based on current market prices right now. We will get a new energy and gas contract from March onwards and prices might slightly change until then.
