Your future room is the biggest in the flat by far. All of us lower folk live in 12m² rooms while you will have a myriad of space, about 27m² to be exact. Just like every room in this WG, this one has stairs that lead to a platform. This one's 6m² with a bunch of cupboards standing around. There's also the luxury of your own bathroom (with toilet and shower), which is also the biggest in the entire flat. The windows are hella big, which means that the room receives a lot of light and the view on the square below is amazing in all seasons except winter. Sitting on the window ceil, watching people and smoking a cigarette works perfectly! You must know, that if you move in, we will all envy you. We haven't been in it much because the last guy to live in there was very private. We love this room and would like to occasionaly come by. As compensation you'll get a couch for free and the best of company :)
This is the main selling point! Our flat is perfectly located directly above one of the liveliest squares in all of Vienna, the infamous Yppenplatz. Lots of restaurants, people, gypsy bands, playing children, ping-pong, football cages, whatever you could need. Our flat windows are the best place for people watching imo. Connected to the Yppenplatz you'll find the Brunnenmarkt. A market area with affordable prices, which makes you feel you could be anywhere in the near-east, but not necessarily Austria. Just outside, a 50 meter walk away, we have the Tram No. 44 that takes you straight to Schottentor and thus the university. A 7 minute walk and you can choose between Josefstädter Straße and Alser Straßer as your respective U6 Subway Station. Also just outside is one of those easyBike-Stands. Penny-Markt, Hofer, Lidl and Spar are around the corner, too.
Soo, yeah. We`ve got 9 damn rooms, which is a lot. I know, I know. You must think, it's incredibly crowded and there's something going on all the time and you won't get any privacy. It might be like that sometimes, but generally it depends on you alone. Your room is at the very end of the flat, so privacy is pretty much no problem if you want it. Being 9 people there's the advantage of no obligations, whatsoever. You don't have to be here all the time at all. You don't have to tell anyone that you will not be at the flat. You don't even have to clean anything except the kitchen if you cook and your own room because we have a cleaning lady. You don't have to ask anyone if you can invite friends. We don't have any fights whatsoever, feel like a family, given the right people and respect each other tremendously. There are partys from time to time, which mainly stay in the big living room. Also, we don't have any neighbours on our level and the walls are very thick so you can be as loud as you want until about midnight. There is mostly someone of us having friends over. What else? Oh, we currently have one living room but are planning to create another, cozier one. It might already exist when you move in. Other than that, there's two bathrooms which are quite small, but the showers are superb. Generally we are very open-minded, easy-going, creative people, mostly students (6 of us) loving music and art above anything else. If you are like that too, you've got some headstart. 3 of us are austrian, 2 german, 1 from Iraq, 1 from Lebanon, 1 from Spain.
