Visiting Phd student for 6 months at the University of Cologne looking for shared or 1-room apartment

Hi, my name is Elettra and I am an Italian PhD student in Chemistry. I'm a highly motivated person and I'm coming from April for my secondment (6 months) at the University of Cologne. I'm looking for a place possibly quite close to University, but I'm also OK with medium-short trips by public transportation.
I'm a positive, determined and energetic person: I like my job, but I also like enjoying my spare time visiting new places and doing new activities. I live in my own apartment in Italy, so I can cook, tide up and organize shopping. I'm always open to new experiences to widen my views and I get on very well with collegues as well as neighbors, this is why I think a shared or 1-bedroom apartment will be perfect for my stay.
