Die Wohnung liegt im ersten Stock (gefühlt zweiter Stock, Dank hohem Souterrain). Sie hat zwei Balkon-Zimmer: eins nach Südost zum Garten (Beas Zimmer) und eins mit einem größeren Balkon nach Nordwest, der zur recht ruhigen Straße hinaus geht.
Die Wohnung verfügt über eine große Wohnküche und vier Zimmer. Das Zimmer, das vermietet werden soll, verfügt über eine Schlafcouch zum ausklappen, einen Kleiderschrank, Tisch, Stuhl und TV. Es ist das mit dem Balkon zur Straße.
Internet-Flatrate, TV-Gebühren und Telefon (Festnetz-Flatrate Deutschland - KEINE Mobil-Flatrate!!) sind inklusive. Da wir nicht wissen, wie sich die Energiepreise in der nächsten Zeit entwickeln, ist die Angabe zur Höhe der Nebenkosten zunächst unter Vorbehalt.
Die Ein- und Auszugstermine sind recht flexibel (= ein paar Wochen früher rein oder später raus wäre also unter Umständen möglich).

The apartment is located on the first floor (felt second floor, thanks to high basement). It has two balconies: one facing southeast to the garden (Bea's room) and a larger one to the northwest going out to the relatively quiet street.
Internet flat rate, TV fees and telephone (landline flat rate Germany, NO mobile flat!!) are included. As we do not know how energy prices will develop in the near future, the amount of the charges could be subject to change.
The apartment has a large eat-in kitchen and four rooms. The room to be rented out has a sofa bed, small wardrobe, table, chair and TV. It is the one with the balcony to the street.
The moving dates are somewhat flexible (= a few weeks earlier or later in or out might also be possible).

Eine bis zwei Minuten von der U-Bahn-Station Christuskirche (je nach Ampelschaltung), 5 Minuten von der U-Bahn Schlump und 10 Minuten von der U/S-Bahn Sternschanze entfernt.
Das Schanzenviertel kann man in etwa 10 Minuten zu Fuß erreichen (unsere Straße liegt in der "Nordschanze"). Zahlreiche Kaffees und Kneipen in der Nähe.
Die Wohnung liegt zentral ist aber aber trotzdem ruhig. Wie bei allen Altbauten hört man ab und zu allerdings die Nachbarn (und sie hören uns).
Zur Wohnanlage gehört ein Gemeinschaftsgarten mit Grillplatz.
One minute away from metro Christuskirche (depending on traffic light), 5 minutes to metro Schlump, and 10 minutes to S–Bahn/metro Sternschanze.
The Schanzenviertel can be reached in about 10 minutes by foot. Numerous cafés, restaurants, and pubs are nearby.
The apartment is centrally located but still quiet. As with all old buildings the neighbours can be heard from time to time.
The house has a shared garden with barbecue area.

Die beiden Bewohner, Bea und Gerald, sind Anfang 60. Bea raucht in ihrem Zimmer!! Da hier aber auch zwei Kater wohnen, sind die Türen der Zimmer meist nicht geschlossen, damit die Jungs sich frei bewegen können. Und damit auch etwas Rauch.
Momentan bereiten wir uns auf einen Auslandsaufenthalt vor (ca 6 Wochen Ende Mai bis Anfang Juli).
Wir sind keine großen Szene-Typen oder Pisten-Gänger. Aber abends mal weggehen, zuhause ein Bier trinken oder grillen im Garten ist auf jeden Fall drin.
Gerald arbeitet manchmal als Journalist von zuhause aus.
Wichtig: Das Zimmer geht nicht an Nazis (oder Leute, die wir dafür halten)!
The two residents, Beatrix and Gerald, are both in their early 60's. Bea smokes in her room!! Since there are also two tomcats living here, the doors of the rooms are usually not closed, so that the boys can move around freely. And so can the smoke from time to time.
Currently we are preparing for a stay abroad (about 6 weeks end of May to early July).
We are not big party types or club goers. But going out in the evening, having a barbecue in the common garden, or drink a beer at home is no problem at all.
Gerald is working as a journalist from home from time to time.
Important: We do not rent out to Nazis (or people we consider they belong to that lot)!

Möglichst an Nichtraucher oder sehr disziplinierten Wenig-Raucher. Er oder sie sollte auch ein Auge für durstige Pflanzen haben. Die beiden Balkons sind relativ üppig begrünt und es wäre doch schade drum. Reife Früchte dürfen selbstverständlich geerntet und gegessen werden.
Es leben auch zwei Kater in der Wohnung (Stedefreund und Overbeck), die ihr Winterfell im Frühjahr verlieren. Die Wohnung ist also nicht für Allergiker geeignet. Die beiden sind aber sehr sauber und freundlich (naja, der eine wird manchmal gern in Ruhe gelassen). Auf jeden Fall solltest du Katzen wirklich mögen (und nicht nur tolerieren). Und auch Spaß daran haben, dich um sie zu kümmern.
Preferably to non-smoker or disciplined little-smoker (otherwise Gerald might freak out ;-)). He or she should also have an eye for thirsty plants. The two balconies are abundantly loaded with different herbs, tomatoes and flowers. Ripe fruits of course may be harvested and eaten.
There are also two tomcats, named Stedefreund and Overbeck, living in the apartment. They lose their winter fur during spring/summer. The apartment is therefore not suitable for people with cat-allergies. But the two boys are very clean and friendly (unless you tease them). In any case, you should really like cats and not just tolerate them. And have fun in taking care of them.
