I’m renting my room in a 2 person Wg (myself and one other) for 18 days over the Christmas/ New Year period as I’m visiting family in England.
The room up for rent is the bigger of the two. It’s fairly spacious (22m sq I think) with a balcony overlooking a quiet courtyard. It comes fully furnished with a double bed, Kommode, coffee table, sofa (actually another bed but it’s still pretty comfortable). A Little cabinet thing for clothes, a plant, lamps and a main light with 3 different hues of white for some reason.
The kitchen has all the essentials plus a dishwasher which is handy.
The bathroom is small with a walk in shower, a heated towel rack.
The hallway again is small but has space for shoes and coats etc.
It’s a 4 min walk to U-Breitenbachplatz on the U3. And the closest bus stop (3 mins away) is Laubenheimer Straße, which has the 101 and 248 busses stopping by. The latter of which goes to Alexanderplatz. So getting into the city isn’t too difficult. There is a Rewe across the street, about 2 mins walk and a Tankstelle 100m from that. It’s a reasonably quiet area but still with good connections to travel closer into the city.
Me and my flat mate are really easygoing. I’m a gardener from the UK and he does web design. I only speak English with a little German but he speaks German, French and English fluently so that’s a bonus. It is a smoking household so if you’re a non-smoker or just really dislike it, this won’t be good for you I guess. But if you need somewhere to be in Berlin over this Christmas/ New year period, you’d have a nice little flat with good company anyway.
