The room:
Hey folks, we are offering a nice room in our shared appartment/ house!
All of us are living on three levels: the laundry and some rooms including yours on ground level, kitchen and living room (common area) and the huge terrace on the first, and some others on the top level.
Location:
The house is located in the easternmost part of Jena. From here you have a spectacular view to “Fuchsturm” and the surrounding hills and meadows. Therefore you would have the opportunity to relax in the countryside-like surroundings very spontaneously, either in our lovely back garden or outside the property. You can also try to ascend the peak of Mt. “Jenzig” (385m!) just behind our house, which only takes you half an hour or so.
To the city centre it's only 10-15 minutes, either by using the tram (you get there 5-10 minutes by foot) or along a lovely little creek by bike. A supermarket is nearby (in walking distance) and is open till 10pm during the week (Saturday –8pm).
Daily life:
There are many students here studying all kinds of things and others who are doing other stuff. Basically, we are all very openminded and everything is relaxed. Therefore you would have LOADS OF SPACE and opportunities to either join others with cookin (there are keen cooks amongst us), eating, chatting, drinking, watching movies, making music, philosophical dicussions and all sorts of activities or to enjoy seclusion, doing your studies or whatever.
Additonal:
We have: WiFi Internet, laundry facilities, a new and an incredibly silent dish washer!, a parking spot for cars or bikes, a cosy little back garden with herbs, vegies and stuff… so if you are a keen gardener – you are welcome to join in the project,
And for making music, even a little rehearsal room in our garage.
